From the December 9 edition of Fox News' Glenn Beck:

The fact to bash a country that is considered third-world by economy standpoints is very humorous coming from a uneducated person like you.
Now to educate you Becky and little bit more here is some insite on why Americans do go to India for medical treatment:
Medical tourismis a growing sector in India. India’s medical tourism sector is expected to experience an annual growth rate of 30%, making it a Rs. 9,500-crore industry by 2015.[1] Estimates of the value of medical tourism to India go as high as $2 billion a year by 2012.
Advantages for medical tourists include reduced costs, the availability of latest medical technologies and a growing compliance on international quality standards, as well as the fact that foreigners are less likely to face a language barriers in India. The Indian government is taking steps to address infrastructure issues that hinder the country's growth in medical tourism.
Most estimates claim treatment costs in India start at around a tenth of the price of comparable treatment in America or Britain. The most popular treatments sought in India by medical tourists are alternative medicine, bone-marrow transplant, cardiac bypass, eye surgery and hip replacement. India is known in particular for heart surgery, hip resurfacing and other areas of advanced medicine.
Do a little more research and tell the truth why that woman said what she said about India. If we reform our health care system then people will not have to travel to get health care.
SINGLE-PAYER IS THE ONLY WAY!
You want some prescription for cheap?, go to Canada.
USA has the best health care in the world. Sure if people have to pay a lot more for it but, YAY. USA, USA.
Stroll over to the Daily Kos, Glenn, where you can see where the money is really going.
Meet The Parasites:
Ron Williams (Aetna) $24,300,112
H. Edward Hanway (CIGNA) $12,236,740
Angela Braly (WellPoint) $9,844,212
Dale Wolf (Coventry Health Care) $9,047,469
Michael Neidorff (Centene) $8,774,483
James Carlson (AMERIGROUP) $5,292,546
Michael McCallister (Humana) $4,764,309
Jay Gellert (Health Net) $4,425,355
Richard Barasch (Universal American) $3,503,702
Stephen Hemsley (UnitedHealth Group) $3,241,042
And those are 2008 salaries. God knows what they're pulling down this year as they scratch and claw to save their bloated paychecks from the dreaded spectre of health care reform.
And may I just say, once again, Glenn Beck is an idiot. And a xenophobe, which is a word he probably can't spell.
No one can claim hat he was just asking questions in his case. It is very frustrating that a platform can exist for telling so many lies simply for the purposes of spreading hate. I hope all businesses with Indian ties boycott him. He is pure ilk. Most times you have to be restrained just to comment on anything he says. He is a bully with his only strength being he can claim to be a martyr if anyone attempts to discipline him.
He really thinks he is undisputed because he has been creeping up on people and throwing sucker punches.
Patient - "Oh my! What can be done about it?"
Dr. - "If you had Ganges, you could take Cipro. But in this case, the only thing possible is a tourniquet around the neck."
Patient - "Is if fatal?"
Dr. - "For you, yes. For the rest of us, it will be a big relief. One less Becker-head in the world. Now, where did I put that tourniquet?"
He also forgets that there are thousands of Drs. in America who are of Indian origin at some of the biggest hospitals in the country.
"For Hindus in India, the Ganga is not just a river but a mother, a goddess, a tradition, a culture and much more."
