The GOP's professional liars like Beck are just going to get more shrill as we approach the 2010 election. They've got to whip the Troglodytes into a mindless frenzy to give them a chance at taking back the House.

My guess is that the crap they'll be puking out in six months will make this kind of stuff look tame.

Well since Creamer was technically stealing then we all can agree that Beck's salary is technically stealing from hard working Americans.

i think society would be better served if we had more news programs that dont cater to political idealism and question everything. Isnt it appalling that all the network media is supporting in mass without any opposing comments that reflect differing perspectives as following the money as and example we need more conservitive stations as to balance the field of right wing perspectives

It's true, taking money from banks, even if you intend to pay it back is stealing!

Which explains why Beck doesn't think people deserve help with mortgages and, indeed, thought taxpayers should give back what they'd been stealing! Of course, we can't suggest he's more concerned about banks and credit card companies ...

What's it called when you take money from advertisers, Glenn?

So lame. Why aren't they putting up the whole segment? Its quite telling, huh MM?

I hear a lot about the lunacy of Beck, but no ones talking about Creamer and if they are OK with his game plan.

I'm assuming the people leaving comments here haven't heard audio of Creamer talking about creating the "sense" of a "historic battle", bringing down the positives of the opponents, establishing dialog of a "crisis", and creating urgency. Reform may be needed, but the "crisis" and "urgency" are manufactured- especially since benefits (even for those dieing), don't kick in till 2013.

If "media matters", why not show the whole thing? Anybody that really thinks "media matters", can find the whole clip on Youtube. Then you can tell me if you OK with this.

MM is "dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media."

This was a 20 minute segment, and we are only being shown 5 minutes of misinformation. Are we to assume the rest was true?

Even IF what this clown says is true, didn't the banks steal BILLIONS of dollars from American taxpayers? I'm not saying what this guy did was acceptable if the allegations were true, which they probably weren't considering the source, but this is all a sham. I think that this dog is barking up the wrong tree...

Christians committing modern day slavery. Can't wait for Beck tomorrow! I know he will be ALL OVER THIS. He will be bringing up all the corruption that CHRISTIANS have engaged in throughout the years. You know he will. He has no agenda. He's not a democrat or a republican. He dishes it out to those that deserve it. Tomorrow he'll be taking on the Christians! Oh Yeah! Our Forefathers were christians. They had slaves! It's all coming together for Beck to pounce on. Oh man!

You do understand that George W. Bush actually gave the highest civilian award to Chuck Colson, a convicted felon, right?

Being a convicted felon doesn't mean that a person is necessarily evil or bad . . . many made just made a mistake. They've paid the price for their mistake . . . MOVE THE HELL ON!

      As reported by various sources:

Creamer, 58, a prominent Chicago political consultant, was accused of swindling nine financial institutions of at least $2.3 million while he ran a public interest group in the 1990s.

      From the following FBI report:
      http://www.fbi.gov/publications/financial/2004fif/fif04.htm

      ROBERT B. CREAMER;
      COLE TAYLOR BANK - VICTIM

On 03/10/2004, Robert B. Creamer was indicted in the Northern District of Illinois on 15 counts of Bank Fraud based on three independent check-kiting incidents occurring in 1993, 1996, and 1997, as well as 18 counts of Tax Evasion from 1996 to 2000. Creamer is the former Executive Director of the Illinois Public Action Fund, a not-for-profit public interest company that dealt with a variety of public issues. This case was jointly investigated by the FBI and IRS-Criminal Investigations.

There was a plea agreement dated 31-AUG-2005 by Judge James B. Moran in the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division, No. 04 CR 281.
I have not been able to find the specific document but know that it exists from other sources.

The case is referenced in the following publication.
[2005-2 USTC ΒΆ50,513] United States of America v. Robert B. Creamer, Defendant.

Bureau of Prisons record. cannot verify that this is indeed the same Robert Creamer but the timing looks correct.

Somebody named Robert Creamer did write a book entitled, "Listen to Your Mother: Stand Up Straight: How Progressives Can Win".

Based on reviews, this does appear to be the same Robert B. Creamer.

Robert Creamer and his wife, Representative Jan Schakowsky apparently did attend a recent state dinner at the White House. Certainly, Mr. Creamer's appearance at the White House is far less offensive than other swindlers with Representative of Senator in their title.
