        The sad thing about it is that unlike Beck, I think that Rush really believes that what he is saying is the truth and that he is defending the public from the big bad government. This is a terrible combination of an ultra-narcissistic personality and ignorance on a level never seen before.

        Of course, I understand what you are saying... but still... these types of people have been nuts since before the creation of this country!

        Its always about keeping the Status Quo in tact. If these people were in charge for the next 1000 years, technology would still be were it is at today!

        Thom Hartmann or maybe it was Stephanie Miller? earlier today mentioned something that if not for the conservative loonies of the 50's and 60's and since we might very well be a space faring (meaning potentially living on the Moon or Mars or having had humans land on a far away planet?) society by now??

        I only heard a small part of it... did anyone catch it or know what I am talking about??

      Does that mean the people who are already using medicare and medicaid enslaved by the government? The conservative argument makes no sense these days. First we should be afraid that the government will cut medicare. Then we should be afraid because the government won't cut medicare and it's a horrible system that will make slaves out of us all and control every aspect of our lives.

        You're right. Conservatives make no sense these days.

        Hence, the rise of the tea party movement. Hopefully, they can split into 2 parties:

        Party A - totally irrelevant
        Party B - Complete and total whack-jobs (but at least good for a few
        laughs. Those tin foil hats are cute).

      Wow maybe we should take over Canada since they are all dead or sick because of the bad healthcare?Canadians have no freedoms...we need to free the Canadians.nothing this man says jive's with any democracy with universal healthcare.

      Show me in the consitution where the government can force you to " buy" anything. Don't give me that car insurance BS because you don't have to drive. But then again I guess you don't have to live either.
