It can't be simple stupidity. It has to some kind of psychosis. Because these guys are all negative, all the time. A person who clings to such hopelessness is usually a few cards short of a full deck, not in any dumb/smart ratio, but more like superiority/inferiority complexities. Propaganda feeds on these types of cattle.

Do a search on Right Wing Authoritarianism . . . . it explains the psychological phenomenon very well. These folks will believe a person in authority who shares their ingrained prejudices and phobias even with faced with concrete, tangible proof that said prejudices and phobias are false. They will also believe certain prejudices even when they are actually counter to the beliefs they claim to hold; i.e., a person claiming to be a Christian while embracing and actively supporting violence and bigotry, which are not attributes of true Christianity.

So, this is normal fixed news coverage. If we call the ACLU anti-Christian, Obama a communist and Dr. Tiller a "baby killer". Simple minds will believe it. The sad thing is when these simpletons act upon their misplaced hatred. Of course fox will deny it and try to wash their blood stained hands.

I really think Macy's* is a bigger threat to the true meaning of the holiday season than any other group. Ann, as usual, has much to say, but little to back up her assertions. The ACLU sees a chance to remind America is about freedom for ALL, not just white heterosexual Judeo-Christian conservatives, and naturally she has a problem with that, never realizing that the freedom she enjoys to practice her faith, which seems to revolve around hair dye and vast sums of money, also protects everyone else's right to practice their faith, even if it is atheism.

(*Disclaimer: I am using Macy's to stand for everything that is crass and commercial about the holiday season, from credit card companies to greeting card companies to anyone using the warm fuzziness this time of year breeds to garner a buck for themselves. Not that I think Macy's is an egregious example of this, but it is a prominent name at this time of year.)

Excellent point. Retail stores have adopted "Happy Holidays" as a PR strategy for improving their sales. It's simple capitalism, which Ann and her fellow Troglodytes claim to embrace!

Understood, and what about Hallmark, who puts out the Christmas ornaments in July? Cbristmas is a religious holiday. One is supposed to go to church, shopping until you drop is not a form of Christian worship.

Ok, can anyone else come up with a bigger anti-Christian hate group than the ACLU? I sure's hell can't.

When the ACLU actually stands up for freedom OF religion instead of freedom FROM religion, Ann would be wrong.

This from a woman who claims that she is exempt from chastity and is allowed to sleep around while trashing others who do because she's "not married." The ACLU is actually a protector of Christianity. By ensuring that church and state remain separate, they protect ALL religions and non-religions.

I'm so sick of these people . . . they pretend that they represent a "conservative" mindset when they don't at all. A "conservative" would want the Constitution to be upheld . . . these people do not.

Look who co founded the ACLU. The grandfather of Andrew Breitbart's wife.

I bet this boils his blood. It would boil Coulter's too if she had any.

      Orson Bean.

Bean was born Dallas Frederick Burrows in Burlington, Vermont, to George Frederick Burrows and his wife Marian A. Pollard. Burrows was a co-founder of the American Civil Liberties Union, a fund-raiser for the Scottsboro Boys' defense, and a 20-year member of the campus police of Harvard College.[1] Bean is a first cousin twice removed to Calvin Coolidge, who was President of the United States at the time of Bean's birth.[2]

Bean was blacklisted by the Hollywood movie studios in the 1950s for attending two Communist Party meetings but made numerous appearances on television and in the theater.[3] He is now a conservative and has converted to Christianity, though he still considers himself "a dirty, old man." He is father-in-law to Andrew Breitbart and describes his own children, who are all married, as "little communists."[citation needed] He was once a proponent of Orgone therapy, and published a book in that respect titled Me and the Orgone.

It is amazing that Ann Falter is still around. Her 15 minutes of fame were up 45 minutes ago.

However, let's review the ACLU's record. I called Mark Williams when he was guest host on the local Hate Talk 560 a few years ago. He had no logical response to these facts - quelle surprise!

The ACLU joined a lawsuit challenging a Virginia law that stated churches could not incorporate. I believe Rev. Jerry Farwell was the lead.

The ACLU sued to permit a local church to perform baptisms in a public park.

The ACLU sued to allow a high school senior to quote a Bible verse below her yearbook photo.

There website has many more - these are just the ones I can rattle off.

Bottom Line: Protecting one person's rights protects all our rights. Why do conservatives hate America and our Constitution so much?

The ACLU also helped Sean Hannity get his job back when he was fired by the college radio station at UC Santa Barbara in 1989. Hannity was fired for making homophobic remarks. The ACLU wrote letters, citing free speech, UCSB relented and give Hannity his job back, but Hannity turned it down because he wanted more airtime. For Hannity to attack the ACLU, which he does, is hypocrisy at its finest.

The ACLU is the single biggest defender of RELIGIOUS FREEDOM in this country.

These whack-job christian funny-mentalists on the Right only fail to see this (or refuse too) because they see anything short of worldwide christian dominion as some how being anti-christian. They can't coexsist. They have to dominate.

If there's a hell, there is a special place it for all those like Coulter and every other Chirstian dominionist who's twisted Christ's message over the centuries.

That's exactly it, Eddie. The far right phony Christians know how important the victim mentality and fear are to keeping their base feeling persecuted. Anybody who doesn't recognize the absolute authority of The Bible and the Supremacy of Christians is an oppressor.

The people I know who are real Christians, who seem to live their lives most closely following Christian values, don't have any use for insane Theocrats like Annie-Christ.

You're right, of course. The Nutbags are completely free to display the Ten Commandments in their homes, in their yards, on their cars and in their churches. But that's not enough. They demand the right to plaster them on public property, and whine like puppies if they're not allowed to.

Anyone care to forward Ann Coulter Thompson V. Ricci, a case decided as recently as last month that RESTORED proselytizing rights to a Pentacostal minister in prisons? The case was defended by the ACLU.

Why would an anti-Christian, hate-group DEFEND the very faith she claims they hate? Or is it possible that Ann is engaging in sensational populism to drum up anger toward a group that often fights cases she personally disagrees with. No, it couldn't be that. Could it?
