So John McCain must be on the far left because he has done the same thing in the pas.

So Demint called another senator a liar on national TV and this is not a smear?

Look, I have absolutely no favor for Lieberman, but would it really have been a big deal to let him wrap up his statement? If it's really and genuinely something that's usually granted, I don't see the harm. Obviously if he was just spouting lies and rhetoric shouldn't anyone else's rebuttal have been able to put him in his place?

I LOVE the work that Franken has done so far, but I don't see any particular reason to snub Lieberman. And I don't like Lieberman!

Any idea what Bill's response was to that clown yelling "You lie!"

      I simply don't recall.

I dug around. He called him a pinhead but doesn't seem so worked up. Figures. Still haven't found his talking points memo yet.

O'Reilly accuses Franken of a "stunning display of disrespect" for enforcing Senate rules

Why, of course. C'mon, fellow Matterers: you should know better -- enforcing rules is only for when Repubs are in charge.

Well, except for things like wiretapping US citizens without warrants or giving out the name of a covert CIA agent. But still . . .

O'Reilly says that Franken "insults" Lieberman.

      Nothing of the sort happened.

And this talking point had already been debunked. O'Reilly should have known this by the time his show aired.

It was exactly to put the Democrats in this position that the Republicans have been delaying!!! They wanted to put us into an untenable situation!

Jim Demint is "outraged" and accuses Franken of "throwing Harry Reid under the bus". I think that Leiberman should get used to being in the opposition caucus...that is where his actions have put him. I think the signal needs to be strong and clear.

Why does Lieberman still have his Committee and sub-Committee chairs?
