You know what kind of guy wants to "weed out the undesirables"? The kind of guy who calls the political opposition "evil deviants".

      "Weed out the undesirables"
Like the purity tests and purges currently underway in the Republican party? Do any of the listeners of this show see Irony in that statement? Does the term Rino ring a bell?

Evil deviants might be the corniest phrase I've heard since Bush and his evildoers comments. It's almost like watching a live action comic book, with less spandex.

if the weeding out of undesirables is done first, Im pretty sure you wont need to worry about being enslaved. I think by any standard you fall into the undesirable category. see ya at the death camps

Talk Radio - trying to out hyperbole the hyperbole in order to generate headlines.

These guys don't actually believe half of the stuff they spew, but their listeners eat it up, and the money roles in.

Their working ethical models: the crooked faith healer, the amoral con artist, the fly-by-night swindler, the bent fortune tellers who preys on elderly pensioners.

        the crooked faith healer...

Blesscurse, I heard one of the most blatant slips into televangelist territory this morning on the radio, I think it was a fill-in for MIke Gallagher.

The wingnut radio hosts are promoting a campaign to call representatives to complain about the health care bill. In Orwellian language as nice as Clean Skies (for dirty skies) and Protect Marriage (to prohibit marriage), the all have a link on their websites called "Save Our Health Care", which is intended to destroy health care.

This host, after explaining to his audience that they probably had access to a computer, and giving step-by-step instructions on how to use that computer, started whispering in a mystical voice that he "believed" his listeners were going to call their Reps. He "knew" they were going to do it.

Then, he told them that if they were able to help the GOP obstruct this legislation on Xmas Eve, it would be "A Christmas Miracle". It was one of the creepiest things I've ever heard on right wing radio, and as sad as those scammers telling the old folks to send in half of their SS checks to get into heaven.

As someone who learned real history (BA in history, probibly more then Mr. Baker)I hate to point the Emancipation Proclamation didnt free a single slave.

What it did do was free any slave in any confederate controlled Area after Jan 1 1863. However the EP DID NOT FREE SLAVES IN UNION CONTROLLED AREAS. The EP also allowed any confederate state that returned to the union between the issue of the EP in July 62 and Jan to keep their slaves.

In short the EP freed slaves the US government did have the ability to free (or arguably the athority) but did not free a single slave that the US did have the ability and athourity to free.

And Mr. Baker just so you know this isnt a new fangled liberal/government education theory. You can check this one your self by reading the text of the EP.

In otherwords your analogy is an EPIC FAIL.
