I'm happy to see the holiday being celebrated all over this great land of ours. But on the east coast, a striped Festivus Pole is a bit of a sacrilege. I know we're traditionalists and you guys on the west coast are trend setters, so I'm sure we'll be seeing them here soon.

In the spirit of tolerating our Christian, Santa believing brothers & sisters, I guess it's OK.

Yeah, I'll admit, it's a bit gaudy. A little camouflage isn't a bad idea sometimes, it might fool some Culture Warriors into walking right by.

And Quinn didn't vote for Obama because:
      he was an African American.

Somehow I doubt he thinks he knows this to be a fact through personal experience.

This might even be a believable claim if it wasn't a fact that black Americans tend to vote Democrat by a huge margin. I suppose there were those who voted for President Obama because of his race, but there were probably more who voted for McGrumpy because of his race.

Yes, just like in previous years when African-Americans were voting for Democrats - except they were doing it that time because the candidate was white.

Just like they always turn out in huge numbers for Allen Keyes whenever he runs for anything.

I like how Quinn glibly declared Obama an "undocumented President" during his rant.

Quinn claims "98 percent of [African Americans] voted for Barack Obama because of his race"

African American turnout increased from 11.1% of the electorate in 2004 to 13.0% in 2008. According to exit polls, over 95% of African Americans voted for Barack Obama. With Obama carrying an unprecedented 100% of African American females and African Americans age 18 to 29, according to exit polling.

So what if people voted for him because of his race. What does that have to do with anything? OH! I know why, but you just won't say it huh Quinny boy? By the way did your boy Bush or McCain get a large turn-out of young African-American voters?

      NOPE!

Well, Jimbo, I cannot speak for EVERY African American who voted for President Obama {much as you and your fellow wingnuts believe that's possible} -- but, I can tell you why THIS African American did:

      - his education and intelligence, i.e., he could complete a sentence
      - his vision for America
      - did not want a repeat of Dubya's policies that would have occurred with McCain
      - most CERTAINLY did not want Sarah Palin within a MILE of the White House in any way, shape, or form

The fact that Obama is African American was simply an added bonus. :~)

Can you image what a landslide the election would be if Obama was white? It would be like 70 to 30 or some high number similar to that.
