ps, WK, I linked to this for you earlier, something I stumbled on in my travels yesterday, didn't know if you saw it;
In the spirit of tolerating our Christian, Santa believing brothers & sisters, I guess it's OK.
he was an African American.
Answer: IGNORANCE
*bangs head*
African American turnout increased from 11.1% of the electorate in 2004 to 13.0% in 2008. According to exit polls, over 95% of African Americans voted for Barack Obama. With Obama carrying an unprecedented 100% of African American females and African Americans age 18 to 29, according to exit polling.
So what if people voted for him because of his race. What does that have to do with anything? OH! I know why, but you just won't say it huh Quinny boy? By the way did your boy Bush or McCain get a large turn-out of young African-American voters?
NOPE!
Well, Jimbo, I cannot speak for EVERY African American who voted for President Obama {much as you and your fellow wingnuts believe that's possible} -- but, I can tell you why THIS African American did:
- his education and intelligence, i.e., he could complete a sentence
- his vision for America
- did not want a repeat of Dubya's policies that would have occurred with McCain
- most CERTAINLY did not want Sarah Palin within a MILE of the White House in any way, shape, or form
The fact that Obama is African American was simply an added bonus. :~)
I will email this post to him and ask for a response. And ask him to read it to his peeps.
