      Oh FU, Dick. Really. If only GWB has BOTHERED to ATTEMPT to treat terrorism as a a crime instead of doing absolutely nothing about the CONSTANT WARNINGS we were receiving, 9/11 might not have happened.

      Get over it, Dick. Bill Clinton fired you. All the revisionist history you want to rewrite with Sean won't unsuck those toes.

        There's a great diary on DailyKos that documents all the warnings that the Bush Administration received that they didn't act upon. There's also a lot of info there about all the steps they failed to take, and all the advice they ignored. It's pretty damning.

        Please read it and use it as a resource to debunk this kind of smear.

      These tools apparently truly believe that we can 'defeat' terrorism, if only we try hard enough. That we can get rid of all the terrorists by rooting them out with military force.

      It's a ridiculous concept that defies reality. But they clearly think we can "win" the war on terror - that's why they get their panties in a wad when they don't hear Obama saying that we can win the war on terror! And they think that had Bill Clinton declared a war on terror, that we wouldn't have had 9/11. What they don't understand is that waging war against Islam will only create more terrorists. I mean, that's what the Bush Administration's own study proved a couple of years ago, that there were more terrorists in more places around the world now than they had been before we started the war.

      It's not a war we can win. Terrorism has always existed and it will continue to exist. We can knock out certain elements, but going to war isn't going to be any kind of final solution!

      9/11 happened because Bush wouldn't listen to Clinton and Richard Clarke about the threat. The fact is Clinton was the only one taking terrorism seriously prior to 9/11.
