        Rush admitted to drug usage but has never been accused of or charged with pedophilia as you claim. Maybe you have something to get off your chest? If projecting your prior/current pedophile experiences on others sooths your conscious, you may want to counseling.

            Did you listen to the show? Rush was commenting on Obama's politicizing of the tragedy.

            The Bamster is going to milk this tragedy for all it's worth. It was his own deadfish buddy, Rahm, that said "You don’t ever want a crisis to go to waste; it’s an opportunity to do important things that you would otherwise avoid."

            Obama cares less for Haiti than he does for the hard-working men and women of America. But that's okay, he can join Tiger Woods and together, maybe both of them can find a way to resurrect their images.

          Rush Limbaugh was obtaining controlled substances illegally, OOzy. That makes him exactly like the folks he's trashed over the years for illegal drug use. They may have been "prescription" when he got hooked on them, but they were illegally obtained controlled substances when he had his housekeeper buying them for him on the street. If you or I had done the same thing . . . we'd have been cooling our heals in jail.

          Some say Rush Limbaugh is a child molester. There are those who claim that he likes to stand naked in the pool while they swim between his legs. There are rumors that Rush Limbaugh has been married and divorced so many times because he really likes little boys.

          Now it's not ME saying those stories are true. I'm just saying that they're "out there" and so they need to be addressed.

          See how it works? Now, if I was a Republican, this "rumor" would be posted on Brietbart or World News Daily. Then Drudge would link to it. After that, Politico and Fox "News" would run with it. After that it would his the mainstream media, and the outcry wouldn't die until Limbaugh was off the air. I can see it now -- Candy Crowley, Wolf Blitzer, Halperin, Tapper all starting their "countdown to resignation" clocks.

          But hey, IOKIYAR.

      Let's concede that, for whatever historical reasons, Haiti is essentially the poorest ghetto of a country in this hemisphere. What does Rush propose to do, leave them to their own devices in their hour of national paralysis? History has shown that such neglect invariably leads to larger problems later (and it wasn't so long ago when we were ready to forcibly remove a military dictatorship). Besides, what would the world think if Cuba took the lead in aid efforts as an unmoved USA did nothing?

      So educate me. Just what does Haiti produce? My CIA factbook says that their largest export is coffee, which accounts for about 3% of worldwide consumption.

      Other exports like sugar are a vanishingly small portion of their trade.

      So yes, Rush is a blowhard. Yes, he took pills. And yes, his saying that Haiti produces "zero" was hyperbole.

      But was he really substantially wrong? Haiti is a basket case. It's a shame, but it is. And that won't change no matter who is saying it.
