As opposed to the Death From the Skies the military usually is under Republican presidents?

      Dear Haiti:

Sorry, we will be unable to provide the disaster relief you requested as the cost of such does not fall within our economic parameters. You may wish to redirect your request to China...but don't you dare turn communist on us or we'll make you pay dearly.

      Sincerely,

      USA

The concern was not about the cost of money in Afghanistan. It was about the cost of lives. I don't think that is an issue for soldiers handing out food and water and providing shelter and safety for a country literally torn apart at it's base.

Gee, I wonder if the "racist" Warren Ballentine said anything as heartless and doesn't want to help those in Haiti?

Nice try, but Rush can't be racist, because "racist" now means "a black person to the left of Ward Connerly", didn't you hear?

What the hell is he talking about?

GW Bush and his administration sent us on the two largest "nation building" or "meals-on-wheels" adventures this country has ever seen (Iraq and Afghanistan). Iraq was certainly not even necessary. We were always told that the cost of those conflicts and resulting nation building is not important (until Obama actually considered that as part of his decision makeing process for a troop build-up in Afghanistan) . The effort to keep people from dying in Haiti needs to be fully costed out BEFORE we send troops down there?

As if Bush didn't support foreign aid.

Well, edge, you gotta remember what 'lil dick Cheney kept telling us: the oil would pay for the costs of Iraq and Afghanistan. That worked out real well . . . since Haiti has no oil, I wonder what Limpy proposes be used to pay for the US military mission this time -- poppy seeds, perhaps?

I do not think Limbaugh wants us there until a full cost analysis as been conducted by the Hertitage Foundation or the Cato Institute (but certainly not the Congressional Budget Office).

2004 Tsunami. Bush pledged $35 million in aid. Did you have a problem with that, Rush? Actually I wouldn't be surprised if he did privately. He's got his $500,000,000 contract. Why should he have to pay for a bunch of free loaders?

It seems like in order to justify his first horrendous statement, Limbaugh is piling it on to "prove" he was right the first time. Damn the torpedoes. Or basic human decency.

Meals on Wheels, sort of like when Bush sent a large military contingent to Asia and the Indian Ocean after the tsunami in 2004 ?

There are a lot of current and former residents of New Orleans (many of them deceased) who would have preferred that a certain Republican president had more of a "meals on wheels" mentality.

Why can't this guy just be quiet in a time of crisis? There are many of us with family and friends in Haiti and this a-hole is blabbering the most heartless drivel I have heard. Either do something to help or just talk about something else. Pathetic.

Gingrichism is alive and well ... A well rounded relief effort could help the administration politically, so these guys have to proactively attack.

And so we have an insight into Rush Limbaugh belief systems.

Take an earthquake stricken country like Haiti, basic infrastructure completely shot, excessive poverty, medical care in very short supply due to disruption caused by the quake, and what is the Faux Con solution? Bomb them.

What else is he arguing, here? Rush is only willing to chip in if he can see bombs falling down chimneys? Rush is only willing to chip in if there is going to be more bloodshed? C'mon, Rush. Don't beat about the Bush here. You rooting for war against the poorest country in our neighborhood?

You know what, Rush? I bet Haiti wants you about as badly as the NFL did.

Reminds me of the story of the man with the withered arm who prayed for 'his arm to be like the other one', so his good arm became withered.

Why is it that the Conservatives only think of costs when it comes to domestic policies or foreign aid? This clown never uttered a peep when Bush sent the troops to Afghanistan and Iraq. In fact during the whole Bush administration the ALL SEEING, ALL KNOWING RUSH LIMBAUGH never said a word about the deficit.

That's because Bush cut Rush's taxes, GBU-15. That told Rush all he needed to know about Bush's massive deficit spending: Rush wasn't going to end up paying for it.

Then the bill came due, and a different president was in the White House, and now it looks like Rush may have to pay a little closer to what his share actually should be. So, he cries like a little baby and in the process tries to thwart people who are actually in need from getting the aid they need, cause it might make his taxes go up. That's Faux Con charity, in a nutshell.

I could have sworn military soldiers were in New Orleans after Katrina. I could have sworn that Blackwater was running around in New Orleans. Was there any complaints from you?? By the way this was under GWB!

Humanitarian Aid and war are two different things. SMH!
