In October 2007, New York City issued a tax warrant against Mercury Radio Arts, indicating that the company had been penalized $10,927.49 for overdue 2006 general corporation taxes and still owed $7,111.03, according to documents obtained by POLITICO.

      Liar.

So, IRS came after Beck during the Bush administration...before he criticized Tomothy Geithner. Now, if Beck is complaining about an IRS audit during the Obama administration all that demonstrates is that Beck has a history of chronic tax problems.

Of course, if someone else owes unpaid taxes that poerson is a tax cheat. If that happens to Beck then IRS is just picking on Beck because he's Glenn Beck. Sure, Glenn...

Seems he doesn't know the difference between New York City and New York State finding his tax problems. Last I looked the IRS was a federal government thing.

No wonder the guy has tax problems, he doesn't even know the difference between a city, state, and federal government.

Shut the hell up. If Beck is in fact being audited by the IRS then what I posted offers a clue as to why. Idiot.

Your post offers no clue (kinda like you...no clue) as to the what, when, where or why Beck is being audited by the IRS. You got nothing.

Right, Beck's Geithner claim is fact and his past tax penalties are fiction. Sure.

I have no idea whether Beck's story is true, and that is the point - neither do you. I took the story as a joke to be honest. You are the whore for MMFAs nonsense. Stay classy.

Of course he's a JOKE. By his very own definition Glenn Beck is a "tax cheat". The JOKE here is that he's blaming his tax problems on the psycho babble he sprays into a microphone. Calling me a whore after I called you a whore puts you on par with Beck. Congrats, fool.

Even Keith Olbermann was kind to this man a few days ago and said the tax laws are so complicated that errors do popup. However blaming an audit on criticism of an public servant may be groundless. change in earnings triggers an audit and i amsure Beck's move to FOX was the culprit here. Maybe Beck's horde of accountants just haven't tolhim.

Of course, this makes no sense at all, since Geithner is not in charge of the IRS. The IRS is an independent Government agency, which is run by an IRS Commissioner.

Doug Shulman is his name, and he started at his current position in March of, yep, 2008.

So, if the IRS is auditing Beck, maybe it's because he's played fast and loose with his taxes before, and not because he said something about Geithner, who has nothing to do with the IRS.

I also, I wonder if this is like when Lou Dobbs' house was "shot at" and his wife was in imminent danger!

As in, Beck made it all up, just like Dobbs did.

Some people just don't understand that proximity is not causality! Just because the IRS investigated him after he attacked Geithner (he didn't just 'talk about' Geithner), there's no basis from which anyone can assume that he was audited BECAUSE of what he said about Geithner!

And Beck depends on those type of thinkers to keep his show on the air. I notice that Beck completely ignores the fact that Haiti was leveled by an earthquake after he bashed Geithner. Very curious.

About 35 or 40 years ago I got audited 10 years straight, for no good reason. Finally my Congressman got out of his office and went directly to the office of the IRS commissioner in DC, and got it solved.

I then received an anonymous, obscene phone call from the IRS in So Cal, telling me that they would not forget me, and would really get me later. I sent notes from the call, to my Congressman, for his file.

And a few years later I received a stupid audit notice, that the local auditor threw out without a question.

I asked the local IRS man who had been so nice through all this mess, for the name of his boss, so I could write a letter of thanks.

He said, "Don't you dare, they would fire me!"

You have to remember who Glenn is speaking to on his show.

      1. Teabaggers with a healthy sense of paranoia.
      2. People that don't get information from any other source.
      3. People that don't trust anyone and are likely to convert their income into Gold and hide it in the backyard.

Since Glenn shills for companies selling Gold (at hugely marked up prices) the more fear and paranoia he can foster in his listeners the more Gold is sold, allowing Glenn to raise his spokesman rates.

It actually all makes perfect sense...

That's right, Glenn. It's all about you. It couldn't be that you had tax problems before and ran up $10,000 in penalties; and it couldn't be that you just had a huge spike in your substantial income; no, it's because you talked Trash about Tim Geither.
Right! Because everyone is as paranoid, thin-skinned, and ill-natured as you, right?

Why does MMFA take statements that are obviously made in jest and try to create drama? Has MMFA no sense of humor? Perhaps its loyal lemmings no sense at all?
