        I don't think attention, ratings and money are enough for them. Beck will never admit it, but I think he wants violent acts to be committed by the sickest of his listeners. Much like Al-Qaeda, Beck's hope and desire is for the WH to take action against his vitriolic attacks and grant him the status of a martyr.

        I love how progressives/liberals love to attack Glenn Beck, Hannity, O'Reilly etc. but don't think that Olbermann, Matthews, Shultz, or Maddow are just as damaging to the politcal debate in this country.

      I love how Beck in this sequence compares Obama unfavorably to Clinton, as though the right wasn't tarring Clinton as a dangerous radical -- who was hell-bent on destroying the nation and marching real Americans into camps -- during his presidency.

        Yeah, I was just talking about this very subject with a friend. The Fox propaganda network didn't come into being until Clinton's second term and laid low (Monica exception) to what their agenda would eventually become. Then BushieCo was given the free pass by them and NOW they're geared to be against this president 24/7. Throw the sophistication of the current online world and it's totally different than Bill C.

          if you want the inside scoop on what the right wing(not necessarily Republican ) lie machine is doing, pick up David Brocks memoirs. He explains that he bought in to all the lies he was fed about the Clintons by his right wing cohorts and published some very popular and influential books and articles about them and other so-called liberal icons.only when he started practising real journalism and checked some facts did he realize there was no concern for truth, that many of his colleagues like Coulter, Limbaugh, Will, Podheretz etc openly admitted that they were not concerned with facts , just destroying the president.no surprise there. the really frustrating fact is that the main stream media plays along and parrots so many of these attacks until they gain legitimacy. I am sick to death of professional journalists failure to stand up to the false right wing agenda, for fear of being labelled"liberal"

      So Obama "spit in out faces" last night eh Glenn. Well I guess in your world telling the truth is akin to spitting in someone's face since your modus operandi is to lie constantly.
      And you said that Obama is a "revolutionary". Really? He seems to be as much a corporate whore as his predecessor. Or didn't you notice how much in bed with Wall Street he is. Not much of a Marxist revolutionary now is he?
      It amazes me that in wingnut world black is white, up is down and they are all ok with that. In their minds--what they have of minds that is--Obama is a hard core Stalinist Muslim Nazi who is ruthlessly taking over America and plans to kill all Christians and capitalists. When in reality Obama is kind of a milquetoast center-right politician who is no different than Clinton.
