I love the fact that O'Keefe will forever be known as the "Acorn Pimp".

His dad obviously has absolutely no idea what his son has been up to.

It might be uncomfortable for him having that nickname once he's in prison....

Yeah he is an honest and sincere person who got caught in the comission of a crime. Maybe he was down there for Mardi Gras. It would have been bribery or extortion if Landreau demanded money for herself not her state. It is every Senator's job to look out for the welfare of their state.

The old "pose as a communications company worker and try to infiltrate and bug a Senator's office" Mardi Gras trick! I loooove that one.

Mr. O'Keefe. When you accuse people of bribery and extortion, you must provide proof and facts. You have opened yourself up to potential Libel and Slander lawsuits.

No wonder why O'Keefe does what he does when his father seems to enable actions like that.

It seemed to me that Dylan Ratigan was justifying O'keefe's actions, especially his closing statments.

I am breathlessly anticipating the Breitbart interview that David Schuster just had. His spin is already in.

Majorly focused on charging the media with the overhyping of "wiretapping" charges which he is trumpeting from the mountains, but desperately trying to avoid any discussion of the very real crimes that O'Keefe is actually charged with.

He then had Eric Boehlert on after him, which I hope came as a suprise to Mr. Breitbart.

Well, Dad, if that's the case -- he missed it by about, oh, 207 years. Sorry.

Dad claims to be a land speculator in the interview. Too bad Dyin' Dylan did push him harder on that.

The new "Louisiana Land Purchase" is what they are calling the 300 million dollar subsidy that Landrieu negotiated for her state to get her vote on the Healthcare Reform Bill.

At least you didn't call it the "300 million dollar bribe."

... wouldn't have been accurate... though I am not so sure "subsidy" is either. Still it seemed a more accurate discription to use.

I am open to being corrected about the term... but, I would never accept one that accuses the Senator directly. Deals are made by Senators all the time, if they believe it is in the best interest of their state.

That being said, Landrieu is not exactly one of my favorite Senators.

Does she get it if it never passes through congress? I imagine not and i dont its passing - at least not all of it in its present form. Landreiu is a schill - she is a republican posing as a democrat. She votes with republicans more than she votes with dems. She voted for the war, the tax cuts, everything else that messed up our deficit and then, as soon as obama came in she started whining about the deficit, refused to pass healthcare, help take out the public option and whittle it down and them, demanded special pieces written in for her state. I dont know why o keefe would target the biggest fraud of the democratic party currently in the senate. Not making much of a point there.

I wouldn't say she is the biggest fraud in the Senate, that destinctionw would got Joe Lieberman. I don't think you or anyone else should be able to decide who is a Democrat and who is not. That is the same tactic the Tea-Baggers are trying in the publikun party and look how ignorant it makes them.

They're pushing this meme that they didn't intend to wiretap. Immaterial. They intended to interfere with the phones. In fact, asking to use the phone and using it in the main office would count, by itself, as interference. And criminal masterminds that they are, they probably fessed up all about it to the arresting officers. Stan Dai; good luck in the shower.

You can call it what you want..a "bribe", an "incentive", whatever you want to call it. Or you can be like those on the right and call Landrieu a whore and a prostitute. She did something that any other politician would do but she got caught doing it.

Funny that we never hear what the Republicans who voted for it got for their vote.

"the truth" = lying? Lying to get into a federal phone bank to wire tap? Wait--is he pulling a Chuck Colson on us? Did he just get "Born Again"?

And-there you have it. His dad just told you why he did it. "Two senators who practiced bribery and possibly extortion". He just gave you, unequivocally, O'Keefe's motive: He was wire tapping to find evidence of Landreiu's "corruption" "bribery" and "possibly extortion", so that he could start a witch hunt against her the same way he did with ACORN.

I sincerely hope somebody is paying attention to this. This will set a precedent for all of the lunatics who want to go out and make YouTube videos to take down Senators.

Well he should have took any money he recieved (which he didn't sadly) and gave it to Haiti. Since it was Haiti who gave the Louisana Purchase to the U.S. on a silver platter.
