If Limbaugh missed people questioning his faith, he must have been asleep for the last year. Isn't it slightly hypocritical to say no one has questioned his faith while at the same time saying" even though he hasn't chosen a church"?

Actually Mano I think Limbaugh was just as "obsessed" with Bill Clinton when he was President. Of course there was no MMFA back then to document this obsession on thread after thread here.

Limbaugh was driven by hate in his goal to destroy Clinton, just as he appears to be in going after Obama.

I think it's fair to say the guy is "obsessed" with any Prez with a (D) by his name.

Limbaugh has made references to Obama being friendlier to muslims since the beginning. He even recently mentioned the Qur'an when discussing Obama. This disgusting individual feeds bigotry everyday and is fully aware of the religious and racial tones of his message.

For anyone who doesn't find anything at fault with Rush's comment.

What would be wrong about a president of America who was a Muslim? Or non-christian.

Oh! America is for christians right?! It prides itself on its democracy and um...humanity's probably the word to all peoples, but in the smallprint it says "christians are superior, fact!".
Ah, thanks Rush for the "Patriotic" service, you a$$

Customarily, Drugbaugh, we try to make sure our minds are engaged before we engage our mouths. Yesterday, you questioned his faith with your little remark about the Quran not allowing gambling. Perhaps you weren't paying attention or maybe your drugged addled mind isn't capable of making those mental connections anymore. Or maybe your hearing aid was off and needs adjustment. And Conservatives are always questioning his citizenship, he was born in Hawaii, that makes him a citizen by Jus Soli, his mother was an American citizen, that makes him a citizen by Jus Sanguinis. His church attendence (or lack thereof) has nothing to do with his right or ability to be the President. Now, if you want to really have a discussion about his policies, let's chat.

Let's create a bogus argument, shall we?

Let's imply that Obama is off-the-wall when he suggests that people have questioned his faith.

And then let's continue to ignore what constitutes an attack on his faith, but since I've already set the stage by asserting that Obama isn't being attacked for his faith, and go ahead and attack him based upon a bogus faith I'm associating him with.

The terrible thing is, his audience buys this whole convoluted nonsense! They get the picture in their head that no one is attacking Obama's faith, and so when Rush actually does it, it doesn't register with them!

Wouldn't the real issue here be why our President was at a "prayer" breakfast discussing his own political battles and using it to discuss how his opponents uestion his religious beliefs and not his policies?

mattmowen does seem to be confused and on the wrong thread, but his point is relevant. If it weren't for the right wing nuts obsession with trivia like a persons faith, and their ability to distract their followers using the same, they might have to discuss policy.

It is very telling that the president needs to take time at this prayer breakfast to, as matt notes, discuss the Republicans avoiding substance by trying to confuse people with their personal attacks.

Actually, to me the issue is that Obama has attended a prayer breakfast meeting sponsored by rather sinister conservative evangelicals.
