Because powerful ambitious people want thwart this president anyway they can. Doesn't Beck claim that the progressives are corrupted by promoting the by any means necessary philospophy? Well once again that attack is another example conservatives projecting their own dirt on others because this is clearly an attempt to undermine the legitimacy of our leader by any means necessary.

There is no such thing as a Liberal media..that's another myth created
by haters that try to delegitimize the Democratically elected President of the United States of America..just like they created the birther myth which the so called "LIBERAL MEDIA " continues to enable by giving coverage to those still refusing to accept the documented facts of the President's place of birth. They rather believe a kook like Orly Taiz over the Governor of Hawaii. That's totally irrational..but they believe the unqualified, half term former Governor of Alaska who doesn't even know the job of the Vice President and would make her President!!!!
With Leaders like Palin,Tancredo and Farah, who can take them seriously.Their goal is certainly not to do much good for the country. How can they when they use such rhetoric to define themselves!!How would anyone govern this complex country based on this type of narrow - minded, bigoted thinking!!?

Because an informed population is an educated population.

I say let Farah, and all the other birthers, just keep putting it out there. That is exactly what will drive intelligent people away from anything they are pushing.

Right....Keep talking that way. There is nothing the President can do that will make you believe he was born in the U.S. to a mother who was a U.S. citizen, so you will keep asking. If, by chance, it was possible to transport you back in time to see the event, you would still doubt it. But keep talking to your wingnuts, they must keep you in pretty good money buying those seed packets and hiding their guns from...criminals?

Well, he is with WorldNutDaily, some of the fringiest of the fringier fringe. They've also pushed the Healthcare Reform = Nazi Concentration Camps meme. Hell, even Beck, who has rarely met a conspiracy theory he didn't like, has distanced himself from the Birthers.

Thank you for recognizing the absurdity of it all. Now ask yourself, why do these conspiracies get so much media attention?

Our media is full of blind spots - issues and ideas that are ignored. Many of these issues would be useful for solving or preventing problems. Instead our airwaves and our political discourse is filled with junk like this.

If fringe ideas like this get this much attention, I wonder what fringe ideas are ignored because it seems this birther stuff is promoted and amplified for a reason.

Yeah but it's mainly from a small group of conservatives. You'll hear it occasionally on FNC or on the radio. How often do you hear it on the main networks or in the newspapers as a legitimate story?

                Let's ask a parallel.
Why do the birthers get more airtime, visibility in print, big network support, etc. than a logical, mathematically provable, highly educated group such as Single Payer or Medicare for All promoters? Why aren't journalists, camera crews and reporters chasing Dr Margaret Flowers, M.D. rather than a bunch of conspiracy obsessed know-nothings?

Since Farah referred, in his joke, to a man with no birth certificate and no brain, it's obvious he wasn't speaking of the President. After all, Pres. Obama proved he has a brain when he wiped the floor with the Republicans last week.

I love how Farah gets them wildly applauding when he says that no one has seen Obama's birth certificate. It just shows the brainlessness of those who are attending that event. (But they must be well off idiots because they paid something like $600 a person to be there.)
But hey, keep harping about the birth certificate. News flash--nobody cares about your wingnut conspiracy theory Farah! The vast majority of Americans know that the Birther theory is BS.
What really gets me though is not the fact that 600 or so morons are having a conference. What gets me is that CSPAN is covering it!
Why?? Who cares about these dingbats? Why give them legitimacy?
And speaking of conspiracies--is "Farah" really an American name? It sounds more like the name of a TERRORIST to me! "Git yer shootin' irons boys! We got us a A-rab in our midst!" :-)

You have to wonder whether they "papered" the event (let freaks in for free to fake popularity). The Heritage Foundation had to get out their checkbook yet again, as they do whenever a new book from Regnery comes out.

IDK what the big deal is with people just asking where Obama's birth certificate is, and why Obama has spent 1.6 million dollars to keep his original long form birth certificate sealed in Hawaii... If it's there why won't he just release it?

To solve the so called "Birther Issue" if thats what you call someone wanting a person to produce their documentation to legally hold the office of "President of the United States" as required by the Constitution of the United States then so be it. I would say "Barack Hussein Obama" PROVE US WRONG- ITS THAT SIMPLE
