The United States is a nation of laws. We signed the Geneva Conventions, we have the UCMJ. The UCMJ does not cover civilians. We have embarrassed ourselves internationally by abusing prisoners and taking their creator given rights away from them. If the Foxterds love the Constitution so much, why do they hate using it?

The answer to your question is simple. They don't love the Constitution. They use it as a political prop that they either use or discard depending up their agenda. Personally, I would love to KSM and the rest of them fed to the sharks, but we are a nation of laws and must live up to both the Constitution and the agreements we have signed.

I am starting to think that there are more than a few people at Fox who are not all together happy about the addition of Sarah Palin into their little cast of characters.

Doocy on KSM trial: Obama should have "seen the writing on the hand -- on the wall"

The continued hype of a criminal trial that is perfectly legal and should happen. These yokels act like it will be a nuclear fallout over a criminal trial of a mastermind terrorist. No hollering over Richard Reid, or 1993 World Trade Center terrorists, or Zacharias Mossoaui.

Stop playing to the dense minds. Please!

Oh where, oh where have FoxNews' right-winged, neo-conservative, Republican Writers gone? Oh where, oh where can they be (New Orleans maybe)? It just seemed like Brian, Gretchen and Steve were just lost without their RTPs this morning. Uh, oh. LOL.

I don't know about you, smarshall, but I'm waiting for the Brian Kilmeade episode of Intervention, in which his FoxBot programming is repaired...

I thought if we change our way of life, the terrorist win; isn't that the right wing mantra. Not trying him a civilian court is doing just that.
On a different note, it looks like Sarah has the junior high vote locked up.

      It just doesn't make sense.

100s of supposed terrorists have been tried in civilian courts and there hadn't been a peep about it until now.

I suppose they'll say almost anything for partisan politics.

I hate to say it, but "writing on the hand" part of that two and a half minutes was probably the most coherent thing any of them said.

Everything else was a bunch of sentence fragments, unrelated trivia, and incomplete thoughts.

      On a tangential note:

Listening to Bill Hemmer on Fox this morning, he said something to the effect: (Ok, not a direct quote, but damn close!) "not a single US Senator is willing to see this trial moved to their district." Which seemed odd on several levels. (Senators x district, and who has put every senator on record with this claim?)

(~10:15 if anyone fact checks such loose statements)
