And it's also doing something the republicans claim they hate: contributing to the nanny state (public welfare) by collecting government money and not working to earn it.

That's true hipocricy - refuse to be bi-partisan and then whine about Democrats not wanting to be bi-partisan. You gotta love ignorance to practice it every day like that...

First of all, it's not up to Obama to have a plan. That's why the presidency is the Executive branch, and Congress is the legislative branch. I'm sure if he had some suggestions, they already know about them. But what limpboy is saying is akin to saying that because a judge doesn't have his own laws, he can't preside over a trial.

As far as "party of 'no'" as a badge, they should jump at the chance to, in fact, wear it as a medal. For most of those recommending sending troops overseas to get shot at, it's the only decorations for which they're likely to be qualified.

Oh I'm right, unless Rush die first.
Here you have one man, a radio personality, leading a legitimate political Party. In the meantime these elected officials are not engaging in real diplomacy. Republicans are more responsible to the American people than Rush Limbaugh, which means they will have to answer to them sooner or later.
Rush will never accept responsibility for Republicans mistakes, even if it was because of him.
Republicans will be forced to open their eyes and reject Rush directives when their self-interest and political future is threaten.

No, it is because I do care about my country I don't want liberals to govern it. Being the party of HELL NO is good politics between now and November. If we win, Obama is a lame duck and the country is better off for it.

We are the party of HELL NO! The voters are responding to our message. They responded in VA and NJ (a very blue state). In MA (the bluest state in the nation) Scott Brown ran a campagin of HELL NO, and MASSACHUSETTS endorsed it. Running as the party of HELL NO is a strategy that works. We will ride it all the way to November.

NY 23 was a great victory for the conservative movement. It showed the GOP that it can not nominate liberals (in a closed process) and expect conservatives to fall in line simply because someone has an R attached to their name. The point in promoting Hoffman wasn't to win (although it would have been gravy if he did) - the point was to defeat Scozzafava and we did. We accomplished our primary objective - therefore we won.

The GOP will not be nominating any more RINO Scozzafava types in the future due to the Tea Party sorts.

If all that's required of Republicans is to say "no" to everything, then their party could have male centerfolds and former beauty pageant queens run for office.

Actually, that's not exactly true, but, the fact that you are a fan of Bobby "Let Mr. Rogers exorcise you" Jindal and Rush Limbaugh indicates that you wouldn't listen to anything except freerepublic talking points anyway.

Sorry. I was under the mistaken impression Republicans had some ideas to put forth. I didn't realize your party's "plan" was just saying "no". If that's the "strategy", then a male centerfold is certainly adequate.

No Brown did NOT. In fact, Brown did NOT even want GOP or Republican on his Campaign stuff. Google it and see. Remember how Brown stated that he was a Scott Brown Republican? If Brown wants to remain in the Senate as a Mass. Senator, this will be the ONLY way to keep his seat as a Scott Brown Republican and NOT the typical 'fall-in-line' Republican. Uh, oh. LOL.

True -- it's just no guarantee that either the male centerfold will vote GOP all the time, or the beauty will finish her term . . .

Rush is encouraging republicans to remember how much the President previously cared about their input. Unfortunately when you slap people with "I won" and "keep your ideas to yourself", credibility falls flat.
