Barack Obama was a professor of Constitutional law. He graduated with honors from Columbia U. and Harvard Law. Even many Republican opponents who have dealt with him ackowledge his intellect. If Barack Obama occasionally makes a verbal mistake it is regarded as a gaffe...but no one questions his intellect.

On the other hand, Sarah Palin has demonstrated time and again that she is an idiot...a shallow, conniving person, who makes George W. Bush look like a rocket scientist. When Palin is caught writing cheat notes on the palm of her hand like a seventh grader the rational reaction is that it simply further proof of the woman's idiocy.

How many times have I heard reported that, off the record, conservative operatives and intellectuals are astounded by this woman's stupidity?

I would be willing to make a substantial wager that if you were around Rush Limbaugh in an unguarded moment that he, too, would express his extremely low regard for the intelligence of Sarah Palin. Now that's not to say Palin doesn't have a talent for working up a crowd of gullible idiots. But, hey, there are some very good tent revival preachers and faith healers who can work up an idiot crowd, too.

The Palin crib notes on her hands should not be an issue. But it sort of seems disingenuous for my party to blab incessantly about Obama's teleprompter and then ignore her crib notes. I find it disgusting that these issues are discussed at all on either side. It seems that both sides have these nasty cracks and the basis of their complaints always seem to be so small and often stem from jealousy. I do not care if she uses crib notes on her wrist. But I also do not care if anyone uses a teleprompter. Obama makes brilliant speeches so he had to put the material on the teleprompter to start with. Fair is fair and if Republicans gripe about a teleprompter, then Democrats should have full rights to blab about crib notes also. You know that old rule, Fair is Fair. Of course politics have sunk to such a new low that nothing seems fair. And my advice to Rush is that he just shut up. He does not represent me that is for sure nor does he represent the Republican Party all that well.

I just find Sarah Palin's presence on the national political scene to be an insult to Amrica and I hope John McCaIn's legacy will be that he is the man who let this freak show out of the box.

In a similar vein, George H. W. Bush's true legacy is that he gave us two of the least intelligent, most unqualified people ever to energe on the national scene - Dan Quayle and Clarence Thomas.

She wrote on her hand in an attempt to HIDE the fact that she needed crib notes to remember to talk about 3 of her core principles. And she forgot what one of them was when she was writing it down - that's why she had to cross out "budget" and add "tax"!

Hey! Dick the Toesucker screwed up and refered to the "Democratic majority", rather than using the obligatory Faux News-mandated 'Democrat majority'.

Guess Karl Rove is going to have to take Morris out to the old woodshed.

Bad enough that she needed crib notes in order to answer questions that had no doubt been vetted ahead of time, but she wrote them on her hand.

You mean to tell me she had zero access to an index card?

It's not that she HAD these notes on her hand, fine, and dandy, don't want to use an index card at a minimum, but it was her total fit about Obama using a teleprompter that makes this funny.

Just seconds after ripping on Obama for daring to give a speech using a teleprompter (which EVERYONE DOES), she has notes on her hand to remind her what to say. What a dumb hypocrite moran she is.

        Oh yeah, that too.

Not only did she refer to her hand in the Q&A, but her address to the crowd was a prepared speech. Palin's shot at the President for using a teleprompter was read off a piece of paper.

        (Check out 8:25 in.)

She's moved beyond the hypocritical into the true idiocy.

And the massive 600,000 (I'm using Tea Party estimation techniques in my estimate of how many people were at the speech) person crowd there, loved every word of it. Even though, once again, she gave a speech that made very little sense, contradicted itself sometimes in the same sentence, and was basically a, "WE LOVE FREEEEEDDDDDOOOOOOMMMMMM!" and, "WE HATE OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!! NO MATTER WHAT HE DOES!!!"

Wow...Obama mispronounces a word....and made a gaff a year ago. Ok I'll be petty. Sarah how many people in the world have always looked up to Alaska as a beacon of freedom?

This is very sad and is the "sexist card" going to be pulled every time fox wants to manufacture a difference between Palin and another politician to make her look like shes picked on? If so fox will use it as much as they claim liberals/mainstream media(i.e. anyone to the left of the klan) use the race card.

If someone actually said something sexist about Palin (last I remember, the only ones doing that were folks from FoxNews themselves), I'd be all about criticizing whoever did that. Since that wasn't the case here, it's laughable that they would even go down that lane.

The question I keep wondering about is this. Since Ms. Palin keeps talking about how the media are a bunch of liars, aren't to be trusted, and are so liberal, WHY then do the people that she's insulting every single day of the week listen to her? Print stories about her? And so on.

It's not as if she's popular (she's not). It's not as if she's not actually PART of that said same media, oh wait, she is (because she's working for FoxNews now).

This past week for example, I heard, on NPR, a 5 minute defense of Rush Limbaugh by Brent Bozell. Why was that even required or necessary? Both Bozell, AND Limbaugh have their own stage to defend Limbaugh from, why do you have to give them extra attention in a case like that?

I guess Morris and Hannity don't watch their own network.

The most recent sexist comment about Palin was made by their own weekend guy, who shared with Fox's national television audience his hope that Palin would sit on his lap.

He didn't just mispronounce a word, he did it three times in the same speech and now it's been revealed he did it several months ago. Barry and Bush were both educated at Harvard. Hmmm....I'm seeing a trend!

I have mispronounced "Social Security" my whole life. I can't pronounce it correctly.

The relevance of a mispronounced word to Sarah Palin reading her typewritten speech from the lectern instead of from her usual teleprompter so that she could make her stupid teleprompter joke and to her writing her three "core principles" on her HAND in answer to a question that she had already seen is lost on me. The fact that this woman couldn't even remember her own THREE "core principles" is very, very scary.

Do you support this woman because you think she's intelligent and competent or because she has an (R) following her name? As a former strict Republican voter, I can tell you that the reason I didn't vote for GWB was not because I'm a gosh-darned liberal, it's because he was so incompetent and intellectually incurious, the letter in the ( ) was completely irrelevant. He should NEVER have held any public office . . . EVER. Sarah Palin is worse than GWB. She actually believes her crap. Bush didn't. He really didn't care. He wanted to be Commissioner of Baseball.

The most appalling thing about Palin's use of crib notes and the rallying to her side of the usual conservative suspects is that she had to have notes for the most banal of ideas,

It's not like she was being asked to split the atom. She was being asked her positions and views on basic issues and ideology.

I could understand needing notes to recall the names of the 10 people in the audience you wanted to have stand and be recognized, or the amount of each annual budget deficit for the last 10 years.

But if you can't remember something as simple as "tax cuts for rich people" or "drill baby drill" without cheating, then you're way too unprepared, or you're in the wrong business.

Are Hannity and Morris making the claim that nobody, especially the MSM, 'attacks' Obama, but they only attack Palin and other conservatives?

Doesn't Fox consider itself to be MSM? In fact, don't they consider themselves to be the most trusted and most watched of all the MSM? Isn't Hannity part of that MSM? What exactly does Hannity do day-in and day-out?

Follow the political idealogue and the message is clear. Fox and other conservative pundits - it's time to end the "only Republicans and conservatives get berated by the MSM, while Democrats and liberals are treated positively" talk. It's not true and everybody ought to know it by now.

btw, I can't stand the use of "attack" everytime somebody is criticized. Let's get real, nobody is being attacked. It's sounds as though they use these words in order to create a revolution.

This is truly priceless. Hannity, the man who constantly makes fun of Obama for using a teleprompter--which every President does--is defending Sarah Palin for writing talking points on her hand for the Q&A period. Unbelievable! Can you imagine the glee the wingnuts would have had if Obama did something like that? They would use it as "proof" that he is a moron. But when Palin does it--hey, what's the big deal?
And then there's that idiot Morris saying that Democrats don't like Palin because she is a woman and therefore "a threat to them."
Riiiiiight. I think the Democrats---and most sane Americans--don't like Palin because she is a total idiot.
