Nope, he is spinning the story so HE won't look so bad.

I want to see them use the "only punking a Senator" defense.
I wonder if the trial judge would find it very funny?

Personally, I want these guys used as an "example" of why you don't mess around in federal buildings or Senators offices.

If they want to be activist journalists, that is fine.
Funny thing is though, you can be an activist and not break the law while you do it.
Of course, it does take a lot of hard, usually very boring, work to do that. I'm sure O'Keefe and crew thought they could just cut through that step and create an issue to skewer the Senator on.

If they "didn't do anything wrong," why, pray tell, would they be given a misdemeanor?

      Idiot.

From Founding Father Tom Jefferson: "Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between Church & State."

What a pinko! Jefferson grew dope too (they called it "hemp"). Figures.

And I don't think Jefferson was born in the United States. Where's his birth certificate?

On the plus side, he allegedly slept with one of his slaves. Republicans go for that sort of thing.

Quite so, AB-001. But this was the one i was looking for. From the 1797 Treaty of Tripoli: "... the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion."

I really appreciate Jefferson's repeated description of religion as "opinion". If he were alive today, he might be shocked to see people a couple centuries later still using their personal religious opinions to debate against facts.

This post exemplifies Breitbart's conservative tough on crime approach mixed in with a little bit of that commitment to personal responsibility we hear so much from those guys. I think Breitbart should change his last name to just Bart.

Breitbart does have a point. When you lack either ethics or morals, you really can't do anything wrong. In this context, his claim that the Senator got "punked" makes perfect sense.

Dan Savage needs a new contest to come up with an alternate definition for Breitbart, so the word can join Santorum and Saddlebacking

Why would the feds charge the Village People with a misdemeanor when they can get them on a felony?

Just because Andrew has a soft spot for O'Keefe doesn't mean that anyone else does.

They aren't going to charge them with a misdemeanor when they have proof and an admission that they committed a felony. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, they've already BEEN charged with a felony.

Do you realize that those "prosecutors" may also be looking at your involvement? Really, who would distribute the tapes these criminals made? And to irritate a prosecutor by speaking of them having 'no sense of humor' automatically takes the Breit out of any part of your exsistence.

This is really so unfair. O'Keefe was obviously set up by an employee of ACORN who was wearing a Larry Craig mask. This of course means that any jokes about Vaseline are in extremely bad taste. Furthermore the existence of this conspiracy proves that Sarah Palin would make a great president and that there is no global warming.
