Congratulations, Mr. Krauthammer. You are now Glenn Beck's echo chamber. That's what twenty years on television, pretending to be someone with half a brain, has gotten you.

Coming up next: Brit Hume uses a chalkboard to dismiss global climate change while Chris Wallace pours water from a gas can on "Mr Average American."

Krauthammer and Michael Steele: separated at birth. According to them, a job that only lasts a year or two isn't a "real job." I guess they're locked into the old economy, where there was an expectation of finding the job you loved, with a company you cared about and which treated you honorably, and working there until retirement. Wake up guys, those days are gone. One in five working age Americans would be quite happy to have a job that lasted a year or two, rather than the empty days and pockets they have now.

Can't these fools come up with their own schtick? Do they all have to use the same analogies? Why not say something different like believing the stimulus worked is like believing that Ronald Reagan never dyed his hair?

That's hard to do when they all share the same [single] brain [cell] . . .

Had to check on the name, but your comment reminded me of:
the Graeae, sisters of the gorgons, three perpetually old women with one eye and tooth among them.

          Just sayin'

it's not really a matter of intelligence; Krauthammer is a very bright guy. It's just that ideologues and dogmatics can be counted on for these two things: when they're wrong, they're 100% wrong, and they HAVE NO SENSE OF HUMOR WHATSOEVER. (see "funny man" Dennis Miller's hilarious jape on another MMFA thread)

And a significant number of Republicans still believe Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. And the Easter Bunny!

The Easter Bunny has acquired weapons of mass destruction?

Well, that certainly never would have happened if McCain had been elected!

A side note to Teabaggers: Governing is hard work. Tax breaks to rich people and eliminating social programs is easy. Doing the hard work of taking care of the peoples needs is not easy, you can't please everyone. Republicans have chosen to please a select few. And rhe working scum sign carriers are not on their radar. I believe in an America that is not afraid of hard problems. America has faced problems much greater and more difficult than what we are currently facing. If you can believe in the America that I believe in. We will overcome these problems and re-build the nation better than ever. If being Liberal is wrong I don't want to be Right.

So, when there are a lot of economists out there who say that the stimulus was indeed the right step, and that it's working, they must all be, you know, idiots too right?

Who am I to believe? 4 chuckleheads who don't know their butt from a hole in the ground? Or someone that actually, you know, studies the economy, and economics in general?

It's a tough choice, but I'm going to have to go with the economists on this one.

Even those who are true believers in the conservative cause should stop and wonder what happened if Krauthammer is following Beck's lead.

6% of Americans believe the stimulus worked.
7% of Americans believe Elvis is alive.
That's what he said. He didn't compare one to the other, he just quoted two different, yet numerically similar, stats.

I compare people who believe that the stimulus hasn't done something to people who claim that Obama's birth certificate is not available to see.
