This just validates my point: Fox News is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Republican Nation Committee. Some rich Republican like Richard up Mellon Scaife probably bankrolled the start up expenses, becaue Rupert Murdoch is s Straw Man owner. The RNC provides Fox with all of the "news and content needed for their daily broadcasts, although the White House and Dick Cheney took over that role from 2001 until 2009.

Then what the hell are you doing over at CNN? Yes you do have FOX news which I'm sure Mr. Erickson knows is not a news organization but a mouthpiece for the republican tea party bagging john birchers. So, you want to take over all media outlets now?!

In order to fight an idea with a competing idea you have to have: A BETTER IDEA! These clowns equate volume and ratings with being right. These Teabaggers have yet to say anthing that I have heard that's even rational, much less plausible.

Teabaggers? Could you be less civil? There are many thoughtful people who will express their views come November. Those who continue to denigrate people with opposing viewpoints will find themselves in a very small minority.

News isn't liberal or conservative, it just is what it is. Only opinion can lean one way or the other. If you anybody is getting their "news" from op-ed pages, cable opinion networks, or talk radio, then they are extremely uninformed. Try the news, sometime, MM . . . . you might be surprised at how much you don't really know.

The obvious difference is that MSNBC, NYTime, WaPo, etc., ALL have conservative views on display everyday of the week and do NOT shill directly for the Democratic party. Living in DC, I actually hate reading the Washington Post sometimes due to the snarky nature of some of the articles/opinions there.

However, on FoxNews, there is NO liberal voice AT ALL and they literally promote only one side of the arguments presented. That is the direct opposite of 'Fair and Balanced'.

There is NO comparison when you compare apples to apples.

Yes. While I happen to think that the media in large goes far too out of it's way to remain a false sense "neutrality," (giving testimony from both sides instead of RESEARCHING the topic in debate and REPORTING on it) the right wing simply thinks that most news is liberally biased.

It probably goes back a LOT farther, but I personally started to notice it during the Bush years, when the media started reporting on Bush's illegal wiretapping. These facts, this event, this thing that made people ashamed of their party, had to be scapegoated as opposition, liberal news.

That, and the new conservative ideology that runs parallel to their idea of "bipartisanship." You give them everything they ask, they accept nothing less. If you write a negative story about the Republican party, you ARE the opposition.

Like Ned Flanders says in the Simpsons, "I say there are some things we don't WANT to know! IMPORTANT things!"

You want data.....the data that shows most people in this country agree with a more conservative veiw point. Data that shows " liberal" news sources are tanking in ratings and subscriptions. Data that shows the leftwing policies of this present administration are at a less than 50% approval. Data that shows the mentioned liberal news networks support the liberal point of veiw by lopsided numbers.
There's some data, and when all added up, shows that the NBC's of the world are biased to a fault.

With the exception of MSNBC, the outlets you mention have very little liberalism. The unsigned editorials at the New York Times are tamely center-left (well short of liberal), but the rest of the paper strongly tilts right of center, like all corporate media. WaPo is pretty far to the right. MSNBC is a mixture, but they do have some genuine liberals, and even a genuine progressive (Maddow). And of course you're right that Fox is ALL right--which is not all right.

I agree with MaineiacMan that the other networks aren't doing a good job of reporting objectively either. And while MSNBC seems some of the time to be the left wing equivalent of Fox as the right wing's propaganda arm, two wrongs don't make a right. Both should be prevented from broadcasting in bias without open public factchecking, rebuttal and face-to-face debate between qualified opponents live on the air.

So MM is right to an extent, but no one is close to Fox in the level of subversion. Just because Godzilla and a salamander are both reptiles does not mean they are equal. ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and others simply are not left-wing biased, for if they were, they would have reported on 8 years of high crimes and misdemeanors committed by the Bush administration.

Many of them are sitting on their couches all day not changing the channel from Fox thinking that is their only source of news. And whoopdee doo, you ran a BBS, hahaha.

So when did you get your first domain?

Sarah was saying how conservatives are so computer illiterate and didn't even know about the internet in 2000.

Why are you trying to change the subject? That is unless you are a conservative.

annnd... that has to do with having a domain name how? I know about planes but I don't own one. I know about countries but I don't rule over one. I also know alot about idiots, but unlike you, I'm not one. she said "many of them" not "all" which is what you assumed from that post. you ignore all the responses that blow your arguments out of the water and then pick fights over "who owned a domain name on the internet first". if you want your arguments and ideals to be taken seriously, I would highly suggest doing research and respond with well thought out posts. otherwise we all look at you as a troll, which doesn't help your side of the political spectrum at all.

i see comprehension is not your strong suit. i said above when i got my first domain. and i was well beyond a student with admin rights on a BBS. they were my servers. but it still makes no difference. my knowledge of technology has zero to do with any thing i may know about government.

Big deal, you were a student with an admin login to a BBS.

                        Where is Sarah?

You might want to ask that genius one year old to help you write. You do not make sense.
