Even if it did include him, according to Fox, it was not scientific and way too early.

And if he was... what would that prove?
Wasn't Fox scrambling on the weekend to point out that the poll was unscientific?

Aside from Ron Paul and his little army, the only personalities I hear common-folk conservatives get really excited about as presidential candidates are Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin.

          Cartoon horror... ;>)

How can anyone take seriously a political party with a large faction of members who regard Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin as desirable presidential candidates? I'm enbarrassed for them...

They've been calling it unscientific because Ron Paul is not part of the Fox Narrative.

What was interesting in that straw poll was what the CPAC attendees cared about [/url](which isn't being reported by Fox because it doesn't fit their narrative either).

On rating issues in terms of their first and second most imporatnace (change from last yr in parenthesis):

52% (+9%) Reducing the size of the Federal Govt
      33% (+9%) Reducing federal spending
      18% (-5%) War on terrorism
      18% (-4%) Lowering Taxes
10% (-5%) Doing away with abortion
9% (0%) Stimulating the economy to create jobs
6% (+2%) Restoring honesty in government
6% (-1%) Protecting gun owner rights
      5% (-5%) Illegal immigration
      5% (0%) Improving education
      5% (-3%) Promoting traditional values
      3% (new) Reforming Social Security
      2% (-4%) War in Iraq
1% (new) Reducing Health Care Costs
      1% (new) Stopping Gay Marriage
      9% Other

Like last year over 60% of the respondants were 40 and under, so if anything, this is a good indicator of the future concerns of the GOP.

Perhaps someone should ask the Fox hosts if they believe Beck is qualified, and if "they would be good for the country." I would love to have it on record that Fox hosts think Glenn Beck is an appropriate presidential contender.

So, since, Ron Paul got more votes, he clearly didn't win. Is there any way these guys would ever use reason when they spout their pathetic views? Who am I kidding? This is FAUX News, we distort, we crap all over democracy.

They can't be serious if they think Back could/would run for office. That is rhetoric to distract their viewers from Ron Paul. No one in their right mind could possibly think Beck could occupy the White House EVER! That is just sick. It's bad enough Sarah Palin was as close as she was, but Beck. OMG what a travesty. The military alone would have a collective coronary

Are they kidding? Glenn Beck is in the doghouse today with conservative pundits because of his comments equating Republicans with Democrats.

Bill Bennett at the National Review has a few choice words for him, as does Erick Erickson at redstate.

Beck is getting a little too teabaggy for their liking, and they're prepared to smack him upside the head for it.

Wait - just like the Democrats! Beck was right! Everyone's out to get him!

I don't wonder. I'm sure he would have won, bringing a great deal of humiliation to these allegedly serious CPACers. It's bad enough for them that the guy who couldn't crack 5 percent in most primaries in 2008, who was anti-Iraq war, and who gave America's Mayor a b-slapping in the debates for his faux "patriotism" actually won the straw poll. Beck would have been even worse.

What spin-doctor, blasphemous crap you folks are about...Ron Paul may not become President but he will surely continue to ignite the fire that will burn all your manipulated and controlled butts out of the barn. Get real!!! You will not like it, for sure. Get used to it, because it's called "C-o-n-s-t-i-t-u-t-i-o-n-a-l Government". There were some smart folks who crafted this stuff under great duress. Oh, sorry, haven't heard the term? You will...you will...
