You liberals are so damn sensitive. Of course Pelosi is polarizing, so what? Most high profile politicians always have been; Sarah Palin, Harry Reid, John Boehner, George Bush, Barack Obama, Newt Gingrich, and on and on.

What King said is a given.

You conservatives are so damn racist. Of course Mitch McConnell is racist, so what? Most older republicans always have been; John Boyner, Sen. Brownback, Jim Demint, Joe Wilson, and on and on.

Actually, she's not polarizing. The GOP's stated goal was to convince folks that she is in order to diminish her in the eyes of the country. Apparently, you bought it.

That's what one-dimensional, non-critical thinking will do for a guy.

Give me a break. In your limited one dimensional world Nancy Pelosi isn't polarizing. Well, not to liberals, duh. But beyond that she is. Just as many Republicans are. If you and the Democrats are so impotent and gutless that you let the GOP's "stated goals" convince the country then you have no business in any position of leadership.

Just more shifting the blame to someone else. Don't you ever get tired of that?

Hey, prog, I object. TMZ actually scoops news outlets. CNN (and John King) only think scoop when it comes to ice cream.

Progressive talk radio and c-span are the liberal medias. C-Span becaue the liberal's can get the truth out without some idiot journalist like John King spinning it in favor of the right. Everything on tv is corporate news.

How is he wrong, though? I'm not republican sympathizer. I'll be the first to say that they're too obstructionist and this whole "party of no" thing is asinine. But I do think it's destructive, divisive, and irresponsible to act as Pelosi and Reid do. The Democratic part would be just as smart to bid them farewell as republicans would to show Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh, and FoxNews the door.

So, why is Nancy Pelosi "polarizing"? Because the Troglodytes have made a concerted effort to make her polarizing.

Interesting that he would editorialize about Pelosi being "polarizing", but not bother to point out that Alexander is full of crap.

The same reason Newt Gingrich was polarizing. It goes more to their position than their ideology.

This is hysterical. This article has been up for at least a 1/2 hour as of 12:26 PM EST. The "summit" is still going on, haven't even reached the first break and it looks like the Republicans might as well have not shown up. Democrats are looking to push this through as is and could care less about what the Republicans are saying.

Yup. The statement is pretty much already written. Quoting from the Politico story above.

“The president walked into a room filled with the entire House Republican Conference. There were no preconditions, his only request was that it be open to the press so that the American people could see the exchange,” the aide e-mailed. “He answered every question with a thoughtful, comprehensive response. He spoke for over an hour and discussed substantive policy issues.

“The president never once worried about it being a trap. He didn’t cry about the room set-up. His conduct reflected someone who was confident in his ideas, respectful of the other side, and not afraid to debate important issues. ... Some Republicans have insulted the summit by calling it a set-up or a taxpayer-funded infomercial. Now we learn they have spent several weeks organizing a rapid-response operation.”

Boy, I'm glad they knew what was going to happen before they walked in the room. I'm sorry, wasn't MMFA that was calling Republicans nuts for thinking this was a set up? How else can it be characterized? The Democrats aren't interested in the Republicans in anyway other than to blame them for something.

YAY! Democrats going to push through a bill that the majority of Americans do not want. Way to govern there Dems. Thanks for showing America what is really going on here.

Sorry but about 60% of this country supports a public option, but using wingnut logic 40% would be considered a majority.

Didn't say the Public Option. I said this bill. Go look it up. America doesn't want this current bill. They want something that makes sense.

I think we do need health care reform, but this thing is awful.

Polls also show that most Americans support individual parts of the Bill. The Troglodytes have won the Propaganda Campaign by lying about "The Bill".

A situation can only be called a setup if the opposing side doesn't have its act together. A confident opponent will have done his/her homework. Republicans stated very clearly that their goal going into the summit was to hammer away at the "let's have a do over" theme. The purpose of taking this position is to have time to get the insurance industry and lobbyists time to organize more town halls/public meetings so their supporters can be bused in by FreedomWorks to express their lobbyist/insurace industry funded outrage and muddy the waters a lit bit more. Their supporters are being used to make the puppetmasters richer and help them maintain their stranglehold over for profit health care.

These so-called jounalists do a dis-service to their profession. Their duty is to report the news, not interject themselves into the story.
Calling Pelosi "polarizing' is HIS opinion.
There is nothing impartial by John King's unsolicited asumption.
Notice that most talk show hosts ignore the un-American, un-patriotic and obstructionist role Republicans play during this whole saga.
