Yup, I think that wins the "Most Ridiculous Thing I've Heard All Week" award (and I've heard some pretty absurd things.)

At least Quentin Hardy (the guy in the pink shirt) had some wise things to say - linking Sarah Palin's "death panels" and accusing Pres. Obama of being a socialist to scare tactics on Fox News! Good for him.

In 2004, a study was done at Rutgers where two groups of students were asked to read an editorial praising George Bush's foreign policy. Before reading it, one group of students was asked to fill out a questionnaire about ways they feared their death would occur. The other group wasn't given a questionnaire. After reading the editorial, both groups were surveyed on their opinion of George W. Bush and the group reminded of their mortality responded far more positively.
I'm sorry, I got off-topic. Were we talking about political parties relying on scare tactics or something?

I don't normally say such direct insults, but they are IDIOTS. Absolute fools. There IS, in fact, research that links unemployment with crimes, and one such crime is domestic violence.

      You misleading morons.

A scare tactic to push the Democratic agenda of...reducing unemployment! Such horrors! What socialist goal will they try to push next?!

Yes, this is all part of the Democrats' evil scheme to get people into jobs so that they can support their families. They must be stopped at all costs.

Harry Reid stated a simple, true fact. Period.

But these guys are right. The truth IS scary, albeit to the actual victims of the abuse.
