From a transcript posted on Rush Limbaugh's website:

LIMBAUGH: Oh, grab sound bite number nine out there, Ed -- audio sound bite number nine. We've put together a montage of Democrat sob stories from the health care summit yesterday, so, you spammers, you seminar callers sharing a personal story about how health care reform -- like if you happen to be using the dentures of a dead woman, like Louise Slaughter mentioned yesterday -- "sharing a personal story about how health reform affects you and your family, great way to show the importance and urgency" -- so if you're confused about this instruction, here are the professionals at this.

[begin audio clip]

PRESIDENT OBAMA: I can certainly remember Malia coming into the kitchen one day and saying, "I can't breathe, Daddy." ... My mother didn't have reliable health care and she died of ovarian cancer.

SEN. HARRY REID (D-NV): A young man by the name of Jesus Gutierrez.

SEN. PATTY MURRAY (D-WA): I remember a little boy, who was 11 years old, whose name was Marcellus.

REP. STENY HOYER (D-MD): I had a message on my machine: "I was just diagnosed with a tumor."

SEN. TOM HARKIN (D-IA): Got a letter yesterday from a farmer in Iowa.

SEN. JAY ROCKEFELLER (D-WV): I knew this kid, Samuel Ford, and he had leukemia.

SEN. KENT CONRAD (D-ND): My own father-in-law in his final illness.

REP. HENRY WAXMAN (D-CA): People from California, who were told by Anthem WellPoint that their insurance was going to go up 39 percent.

SEN. CHRIS DODD (D-MA): A guy in my state, Kevin Galvin.

SLAUGHTER: Her sister died. This poor woman had no dentures. She wore her dead sister's teeth.

[end audio clip]

LIMBAUGH: Can you believe these stories happen in America? So that's just a little hint -- this is a page from the Democrat playbook that's been used and worn for now over 30, 40 years, and this is -- so, this is how you should do it.

Previously:

Limbaugh's health care plan: "If you don't have any teeth, so what? What's applesauce for?"

Limbaugh's health care plan: Get rich or die tryin'

Let them eat applesauce: Right-wing media mock the uninsured

No sympathy from Rush for transplant patient on Medicare who will have to pay own bills after 3 years

Rush is really salt of the earth, huh? Really cares about the common man, like every other rich wingnut.

Note to everyday Republicans - they're making mint off of your misery.

It's kinda funny that all these rich wing-nuts (liste above) want to spend MY hard earning while they hoard their stash... I wonder how far we could go if we'd simply limit the amount they hoard while we charge the countries of origin for illegal aliens??? Probably take care all the "30 million" uninsured...

what's funny is those "rich wing-nuts" you listed above probably paid more in taxes last year than you will make in your lifetime. Nevermind the BILLIONS they have donated to charities. How do you think we could "charge" the countries of origin for the illegal aliens in this country?

Yes it's a ploy... they actually listen to their constitutents and retell their stories...

I know that it doesn't fit your narrative Rush... you know, the one you believe in, so that's why you have to dismiss them as unreal.

But guess what Rush, more and more people are identifying with these stories and the more they do, the more distant your BS becomes.

It's like the Vietnam war... people didn't really feel the pain until their own kids, or their neighbors kids started to lose their lives in the conflict.

When these stories became personal, the war mongers could no longer minimize the sacrifice.

So why isn't the democrat party doing something about it. cap the huge incomes the hugely rich leftist CEOs make and charge the countries of origin, for the healthcare of the 12-25 million illegal aliens treated in the US ERs... Bet that would cover the 30 million "uninsured"...

So just explain why that won't work... Oh yea, take it out of their foreign aid packages....

Most illegal immigrants won't go near anything that will bring the attention to the authorities of their presence.

            2. IF they don't have insurance or don't pay determine their country of origin
            3. send the bill to the US Goverment illegal alien billing office
            4. they in turn send a bill to the countries of origin
            5. If the country of origin fails to pay, subtract it from their foreign aid packages.
            6. pay the ER bill or use the revenues to buy health insurance for the 30 million uninsured.

LOL! They've been trying to for the past year (among other attempts) and the F-ing corporate whores in the GOP have blocked them every step of the way.

BTW, even if your illegal alien figures are correct, who's hiring them? Corporations, right? How come they're not to blame? Do you think the number of aliens would, I don't know, decrease if the corporations stopped hiring?

ah, back to the corporate whores like buffet, jobs, soros, gates, Ellison just to name a few..

No the democrat whores have NEVER offered a reasonable solution that will actually make health care affordable.

NOW to give President Obama the credit he deserves.

President Obama actually agreed to four(4) republican ideas, or at least partially. If he'd beef up the tort reform, or put caps on the HUGE earnings corporate lawyers and their CEOs make at the expense of the patients, we might actually get somewhere.

All the democrat party wants to do is tax and spend, lets look for SAVINGS, any savings we can get including tort reform (or lawyer salary caps). Want to regulate the non-profit health insurance companies (that's right 40% of the health care insurance companies are not-for profit, just like mmfa), FINE regulate the lawyers too...

As far the the illegal aliens are concerned, I don't think anyone should hire them, anyone that does should face jail time ... I also don't think we should waste time and money shipping them home.

OK but that's ISN'T this issue, the issue I spoke of is the health care illegal aliens enjoy at the expense of the 30 million "uninsured".

We're not talking about how much it takes care of... Put it on the table... BTW - that's another democrat party talking point... malpractice insurance premiums run from between $15,000.00 per year to over $100,000.00 per year. This doesn't even BEGIN to address all of the "DEFENSIVE TESTING" that Drs have to do, most of which is WASTE....

So exaclty where sis you get your 1% figure... You certainly don't quote the fact that 40% of the health care insurance providers ar enot-for-profit, just like mmfa, OR that they have a 6% profit margin.... a LOT less than the huge lawyers salaries... come on I know your not a lawyer...

CBO had previously estimated that enacting a common package of tort reform proposals would reduce federal deficits by $4 billion from 2010 to 2019, but CBO now estimates that those proposals would reduce federal deficits by about $54 billion during that period.

Unlike your lie, it's not $54 billion a year, it's $54 billion in ten years.

You also left the part of the CBO report that said:

CBO’s letter to Senator Hatch observed that imposing limits on suits for damages resulting from negligent health care might be expected to have a negative impact on health outcomes. However, the limited evidence currently available about the effects of tort reform on health outcomes is much more mixed than the larger collection of evidence currently available about the effects of tort reform on health care spending.

Is that a definitive case of health outcome going down? No. But it is a definitive case of stating something that needs to be studied.

                    Here's another goody for you:
In explaining the increase in savings, CBO Director Douglas Elmendorf told lawmakers “recent research has provided additional evidence that lowering the cost of medical malpractice tends to reduce the use of health care services.”

Tort reform has been one of Republicans’ top health care reform proposals, but it hasn’t been embraced by congressional Democrats. President Obama, in his address to a joint session of Congress last month, said he would consider tort reform legislation as part of his health care plan…

Such proposals would reduce national health care spending by about 0.5 percent, or $11 billion in 2009. That includes the reduction in malpractice premiums as well as a 0.3 percent reduction in health care services spending from providers ordering procedures out of concern for being sued.

The group found that this year, health care providers will spend about $35 billion on malpractice liability, including premiums and awards.

0.5%. 0.5% "Such proposals would reduce national health care spending by about 0.5 percent..."

Your worried about tort reform, which is a little zit on the ass of a patient dying of inoperable cancer. Stop worrying about the fricking zit.

See that's exactly your problem, the whole democrat party problem.

So lets just say that the current "health care"REFORM"" passes and saves 100Billion dollars over the next ten years.

WHAT exactly is wrong with saving an extra 54% or 54 BILLION more dollars...

                          chump change???

NOPE it's the payoff for the litigation lawyers, they paid for their vote ans that's it...

A big part of the problem, OTP, is your assumption that any savings brought on by tort reform would be passed on to consumers. That's patently false. The only way to ensure such savings is indeed passed along is by providing a robust public option, run by the federal government. The competition from this public option would then have the effect of forcing the private insurance companies to cut costs any way they could to maintain their customer base.

Surely it has not escaped your attention that, in 1980 the average insurance company paid out between 90 and 92 cents in coverage for every dollar taken in. It's currently dropped to 70 to 75 cents on the dollar. Even Las Vegas casinos pay out 80 cents on the dollar. We pay twice what other industrialized nations pay, and are ranked 37th in the world for health outcomes. Where does all that extra money go? Based on the experiences of countries with similar systems, we could be healthier, live longer, and pay about half what we're currently paying.

Simple question: What do insurance companies bring to the table?

Yeah, you know, I take it back. Carrying signs with swastikas, effigies of Obama being lynched, renderings of Obama as Hitler and as a witchdoctor -- not racist at all. And of course, there was a stinging, stern, decisive and highly visible rebuke from the GOP and the Tea Partiers! They weren't gonna stand for that!

Besides, it's impossible that there would be racism in 2010. And if there is, it's a leftist conspiracy that should just be ignored. Not a single racist left in this country.

Ding, ding, ding....the inevitable Reid and Byrd name dropping comes out, as well as the "well, historically the left has always been racits" crap.

Of course, they leave out mention of Lott, Duke, Thurmond, Helms, Bob Barr, Buddy Witherspoon, John Ashcroft and all the other southern democrats who formed and guided the modern republican party. (Just waiting for the "well, Lincoln was a republican" gambit).

Next up....the John Edwards card...and something about democrats and sexual scandals...without nary a peep about republicans.

Democrats were the ones who pushed through the Civil Rights Act of 1964. A Democratic president signed it even though he knew it would cost his party Southern votes, which it did. Game over.

if you have a spare $14 mil lying around, you might want to use it to buy Rush's Fifth Avenue pad now that he's put it on the market, complete with "monstrous and downright weird murals" (as the realestalker calls them, and I must agree).
