"Unions scary....i have no facts or examples to support any of my statements, but if I say it often enough and loud enough, you all might start to believe me." -Glenn Beck's twisted mind
Unions have made America strong in the past, and when you go to work for 40 hours per week who can you thank? Unions.
Like that health care that you enjoy from your job? Thank the unions.
Like workplace safety? Thank unions.
And so on, and so forth.
"[T]hese right wing talk show hosts are destroying America, and, in many cases, with me (Beck), intentionally for their own power"
Are you saying SEIU is purposely destroying America so it will have power in a new America? Kinda risky game plan, from an existential standpoint, wouldn't you say...?
Shouldn't you have some actua proof before making wild accusations like this...?
Glenn will interpret that to mean space aliens are to blame. Don't use big words like that with Glenn.
Conservatives like Beck, and conservatives in general, are prone to react to threats in a much deeper emotional, visceral manner than liberals. Why? Because their fathers were authoritarian and probably used harsh punishment to teach them right from wrong. That's where the metaphor for social order was first instilled; in childhood. Daddy is the protector, he knows all and the hierarchy places daddy at the top. If anything deviates from that arrangement, the family is threatened.
Here.
That's what's so great about psychology. It doesn't really explain anything so much as it reveals the biases of the speaker.
