        In 1961 Wright left college and joined the United States Marine Corps and became part of the 2nd Marine Division attaining the rank of private first class. In 1963, after two years of service, Wright joined the United States Navy and entered the Corpsman School at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center.[8][13] Wright was then trained as a cardiopulmonary technician at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Wright was assigned as part of the medical team charged with care of President Lyndon B. Johnson (see photo of Wright caring for Johnson after his 1966 surgery). Before leaving the position in 1967, the White House Physician, Vice Admiral Burkley, personally wrote Wright a letter of thanks on behalf of the United States President.

      That's sort of what went through my mind, Porkeater. Have you ever seen that cheesy MSNBC documentary about "The Curse of the Lottery" ? It's a bunch of yokels advising other people not to play the lottery, because it screwed up their lives so badly.
      
      Their advice is based on the assumption that everybody is going to immediately gold plate every fixture in their house, collect suits of armor, and start buying cocaine. Many of them end up in debt, or in trouble with the IRS.
      
      It might explain the constant wailing about taxes from the far right. They're not really good with money.

  If there's anything in the bill that might have been included to appease "Muslim friends," it's the Stupak amendment. Muslims generally don't like abortion rights any more than evangelical Christians.

  Khalid al-Mansour (the guy who paid for his law school) and Rashid Khalidi (the Hamas fundraiser) are his muslim friends. "Rev" Wright was a muslim in the 1960s. He refuses to answer whether he has met with Farrakahn. If he hasn't there is a very simple answer.
