It was never dead, Limpy. That was propaganda pushed by you and the other right-wingers, but it doesn't make it true.

First of all, he can't even get his Terminator movies straight, but how could I ever expect him to be accurate in any fashion

Secondly, perhaps Health Care reform keeps coming back because it's a public mandate.

It's like if we didn't have police forces and the security of every city is made by Brinks security, who after years of soaking the residents of the city are tired of being under their thumb and demands a government law enforcement.

But in this case, the bill wouldn't be for a government run police force because that would be a threat to our sensibility, it'd be a requirement that we all pay for crime insurance and the crime insurance companies would be put under govt regulation

Rush must be unaware of how wildly popular Terminator 2 was.

It was never dead. It passed both houses of Congress. What they are talking about now is simply the clean up work to combine the two bills into one.

I think Rush needs to watch Schoolhouse Rock, too.

So either Rush is stupid and doesn't understand the legislative process, or he's a liar. I used to think the latter, but I'm slowly concluding it's the former. He's just an uneducated bumpkin.

When in doubt, swing a cultural reference, no matter how much of a stretch.

Unless some miracle happens, my sister in law will suffer termination. I believe a pulic health care bill might be part of the miracle and i would like to be in the nation that not only leads the way in taking care of its citizens, but also leads the way in university level studies and graduates doctors in masse. Not leads the way in promoting anti government fat guys from Florida.

"Today on The Rush Limbaugh Show, Rush learns that sometimes Congresspeople disagree with exact legislation but agree with the overall objective, and hence modify the bill. But can Rush phrase that observation in a way that baselessly demonizes a law? Stay tuned to find out!"
