I'm not sure what universe this man is living in . . . my life has not changed significantly since that horrible day in November 2008 when Obama became the president, except that my 401K has regained all that was lost and I've gotten two raises at work. I know, I'm lucky, but I'm not sure what this man is talking about.

I got a college scholarship the day he was inaugurated. I'm like to credit Obama for that (jokingly, obviously). But I'm in the same boat: nothing's really changed for me.

My taxes went down a bit as a direct result of President Obama's policies. That was nice.

Yep. He talks about how the govt has screwed us but it wasn't the Obama administration. It was the Bushies and these people who are complaining now were silent or in favor of those policies (like suspending habeas corpus for "enemy combatants," jackass.) Why the outrage over the past 14 months? What has happened in that time that's screwed everyone in America or even everyone in the Tea Party movement?

Listening to this, I'm reminded of the first time I ever heard Jimmy Swaggart preach, way back in the 1970s. I looked at his face and I listened to the tone, and it seemed that everything was the opposite of the words coming out of his mouth. He looked like he was vomiting, the tone was vile, hateful, and angry but he kept using the word love. Glennie is a laughing monster. He spews hatred and anger, and he tells the audience he is just trying to help them. In reality, I would expect him to kick someone when they were down and step on their fingers. He's monster.

Interesting, epkkik, I was having a conversation with a SBC preacher friend of mine last night and his friends. The term "vomit" came up several times with reference to Beck; specifically, his recent admonition that folks should walk out of churches which preach social justice. These folks decided that the Republican club does NOT represent Christian values . . . they are all former Republican voters.

You know it's a sad day for the Republicans/Conservatives when Baptist preachers start walking away. Jesus was the first social justice worker.

Exactly. It seems to go along with the unemployment, medicare, medicaid, and social security dispute. It is completely contradictory to his audience's interests. Yet, somehow-through appealing to their more knee jerk reactions including taxation, abortion, homosexual's civil rights, and their inherent distaste for government generalities-he has made quite the name for himself among their ranks despite this paradox.

You should have had to deal with the multiplicity of preachers when I worked at a religious ("christian" to the Xians) radio station. Swaggart, Copeland, Peter Popoff, Robertson, Lester Roloff (sp?) and more, running from sign-on to sign-off (about 6A till 1A). One job I sent off a resume to is an actual Xian Radio Station, who included a 'statement' that employees would basically evangelize 24/7, especially through the station. I sent off the papers, but did not sign the 'statement'. Wonder why they haven't called me. /snark

Glen Beck is the finest American of our generation! That man is the cat's pajamas! Beck is the only man in America with the courage to tell the truth! Now, let's see you liberals try to refute my ironclad logic. (folds arms across chest, smiles smugly)

I think it's safe to say he's smarter than anyone on Fox... and that's not just a cheap shot. He's actually a pretty together guy, and a reasonable one, too.
