Wow, the PC police are out in force! I'm sure that MMfA prefers the PC term "undocumented worker". Imagine, calling someone who is here ILLEGALLY an ILLEGAL...oh, the horror! There is nothing wrong with immigration....LEGAL immigration.

It has been pointed out to you and other many times that a person cannot be "illegal," their actions are illegal.

Hey there, ManicDepressive, I was just talking about you!
(And if entering a country illegally makes one an "illegal", then any other illegal activity also makes one an "illegal". Are you gonna call, say, Bernie Madoff an illegal? Of course not, he's white.)

Are you of American Indian descent, MaineiacMan? No European, Asian, or African heritage? Because, if you are not Native American exclusively, you'd best go home. See, that would make you the beneficiary of illegal immigration, and since we know how you feel about accepting ONLY the legal immigrants, it's time to pack your bags, and head on home to wherever your ancestors came from. 'Kay? Bye.

LOL...here we go (rolling eyes), back to the Mayflower!
I was tempted not to dignify your ignorant comment with a response but I cant help myself. If you want to go back to the Mayflower...that was prior to America, borders, sovereignty, a constitution, etc, etc, etc.

I love the mix of cultures that IS America. I also feel that LEGAL immigration is an important part of who we are. Sounds like you are OK with swinging the barn doors open, letting everyone in unchecked, crossing your fingers and hoping for the best. In that case what is the point of having borders at all?

You do realize that up until the early 20th century there were no real immigration restrictions to the U.S. and some of the first were to stop the immigration of Chinese.

              Dave,

We do not live in the early 20th century anymore. What is your solution? Do you feel that we need to have a legal immigration policy or would you just open the barn door? Do you have concerns regarding safety? health? economics? anything?

I am just saying that immigration laws were started to exclude certain types of people from entering the country. Our country grew rapidly with unlimited immigration. I do believe that we should have legal immigration policy, but it should also be uniform. Like how Cubans are granted asylum if they come to America, but from other countries they are immediatly deported if caught.

Thanks Dave...and I'll concede to your point on the term 'illegals' vs 'illegal immigrants'.

So if you've ever accidentally driven through a stop sign, I guess you're also an "illegal?"

Soooo.....I'd call Charlie Manson a 'murderer', I guess you wouldnt. I mean after all 'murder' was his action, its not him.

There is a special name for Madoff....FELON.

Would you like to use that term for ILLEGAL immigrants? How does "immigration felons" sound to you?

Can you not see how you have all been twisted by PC to the point that you can no longer 'call a spade a spade'?

For you PC wingnuts who will now incorrectly call me a racist....that phrase originated in England 1542 with regard to a SHOVEL.

Then call them Illegal Immigrant and not "illegals." Immigration felon makes no sense, since most aren't every convicted of anything and are simply deported. I call a spad a shovel does that mean I'm being PC as you call it?
