In spite of it's origins (in Christianity, not the pagan origins) I'd say it's primarily a secular holiday. It wasn't until retailers figured out they could sell a lot of merchandise by pushing Christmas that it became a big holiday. Easter is the important Christian holiday.

I feel very sorry for this woman. She is profounding affected by what he has said, she may even leave her church over this, and she doesn't even understand what she is doing. Well, speaking as one of those progressives that want in God we trust off our money and under God out of the pledge of allegiance I am uncomfortable with conservatives like Beck making this some kind of religious war. If God is really in his side and only his side only then we're all doomed. Why can't I just have a different point of view and not a some kind of spiritual monster out to destroy your religion. Hell, I can care less what you believe or what you do on December 25th. If your religion consists of dancing naked around a tree with a goat's head on as long as it doesn't wake me up too early I could give a flying.........but I do have a problem when the government suggests we believe in a deity. That's not the government's business. Oh, BTW progressives and socialists/communists have done alot of good in this country. Whatever happened to "Christmas holiday", "Christmas vacation", Ch"Christmas cheer", "Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year", "Christmas candy or cookies", "Christmsa spirit", "What would you like for Christmas"? "Christmas presents" etc.
