Ok, now this guy sounds like an abusive husband. "Don't believe what your family has to say about me because they are lying" Beck has turned his audience into his victims and he is their abuser. America, it's time for an intervention.

It's sad, and unfortunately many will probably listen to him and continue to go back. It's a delicate situation to try to convince the abused that the person they love is abusing them. Maybe this is the shock they need.

Glennie, your audience is made up of free people, they don't belong to you. You aren't in an office, they aren't your base. And the only lies that will separate you from your audience are your own! I beleive you think you believe in God, but you have deceived yourself. What you are and what you put out is evil, disguised as piety. You can fool some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. You will fall when your audience catches on, they will turn their backs on you and walk away.

Mr. Sparrow, you must be new to the threads. GlennBeckistan was coined by someone else, as was TeaBagistan. So I must give credit where it's due, even though I don't know exactly where it's due. Only that it isn't due me. (Do me) Do a deer, a female deer.........okay, we're not in South Carolina, Julie Andrews - slapping myself silly! ;-0)

OH I have a strong feeling over at Fox News Roger Ailes will be holding a press conference soon to explain how come Beck had "go away" for while. Beck is clearly about to completely go over the deep end. The man is about to delve into Jim Jones and David Koresh terrority- he is about to start his own cult

I was thinking pretty much the same thing - Koresh, Jones... Beck... He fits right in, doesn't he? Whatever happened to Jones Town - was it sold off? Beck could go there... start his own refurb project... mix up a big batch of refreshing kool aid for the masses ("his base")... it'll be awesome!

You would think - being a "bleeding heart liberal", as I am often accused of being, I would feel more charitable and sympathetic towards Mr. Beck.

        But I don't.

People lie about him all the time. They put words in his mouth and twist what he says around to fit their own agenda against him.

This whole "social justice" and the churches is a perfect example. You all know Beck constantly argues against "big government" and all the powers attached to it. Every topic he talks about relates to big government. Why would he suddenly - in talking about social justice and the churches - NOT be talking about government?

He was talking about when churches collaborate with government to enact social justice. That's where he always relates it back to government power. It's not a good thing when churches and government collaborate. This is what he is warning about. This is why he said to be on the lookout for churches who wish to collaborate with the government to carry out social justice.

I'm sorry that he wasn't as clear as you would like him to be. People like me that actually listen to him and understand what he's talking about understood exactly what he meant. That's why this church boycott won't make any difference because very few churches misunderstood it.

There is NOTHING in his words which said what you are saying he was saying. NOTHING. Besides, I know of no churches who "collaborate with the government." It would be suicide. They would lose their tax-exempt status.

If the boycott didn't make any difference, then why is Beck killing himself today, like a small child who got caught doing something he shouldn't, by adding more and more lies.

You didn't understood exactly what he meant, Mag. He said exactly what he meant . . . you're just believing the bullsh*t he's shoveling today.

That absolutely makes no sense mag.

Glenn is arguing against churches collaborating with government, but his latest fixation is with David Barton and the Wallbuilders, who OPPOSE the separation of church and state. His new fixation is on the argument that the founding fathers actually intended for church and state to comingle.

There's some kind of disconnect here.

MagCynic, I don't disagree with you insomuch as Beck thinks that social justice inherently implies big government. But I think he's wrong. If you think that establishing a living wage (the classic example of social justice as advocated by Monsignor John Ryan) is an example of an intrusive, overbearing, totalitarian-leaning big government, then so be it. Beck sides with the Austrian economic school and Hayek's rejection of social justice, and he's perfectly free to do so. Churches that disagree with him are free to do so as well.

None of this, however, counters the fact that Beck explicitly advocated to his listeners that they should abandon any church -- whether it's Reverend Wright's church or Beck's own church -- that supports social justice.
"People lie about him all the time. They put words in his mouth and twist what he says around to fit their own agenda against him."

Do you think what I just wrote is a lie?

Well, let me get out my blackboard and I'll figure this out. OK, so Beck is responding to those who criticized his attack on churches that support social justice. Social justice is a concept developed by a Jesuit and elaborated upon famously by a Roman Catholic, but the concept is also commonly associated Judaism and its principles of tzedakah (the obligation of charity and philanthropy) and tikkun olam (the work of repairing the world). Now, Beck argues that Social Justice will end in Communism, and he's especially concerned with Communism as theorized by Karl Marx... who was Jewish! So, by Beckian logic, Beck's talking about the Jews, who control the media and spread lies in order to fatten their wallets through their control of the Federal Reserve. Now, of course, I'm not actually saying that this is what Beck believes. I'm just one person with a chalkboard who is asking questions. Right?

hes really losing it here. he thinks he is so important that"they "are going to destroy him.I picture Glenn living in his own little self fabricated bubble, where his every pronouncement is a tablet from Mt. Sinai, but" they" are out to stop him by any means possible.only Glenn has the bravery to stand as an angel of light against the mounting forces of evil. the battle cometh.if he continues down this path one day we will awake to find Glenn a suicide or arrested for faking his own attack ala Morton Downey Jr.

They are going to try to separate me from you, and they will do it with lies"

....said Charlie Manson, said Jim Jones, said David Koresh etc. Also, since Glenn is a Biblical Apocalyptic to boot, I think these are the lies that the Anti-Christ speaks too. Careful Glenn, you rantings are being judged not just by your enemies. You're "base" may not like these phrases either.

I think what we're seeing is a delusional break caused by the drugs and alcohol that he's done in the past.

All I keep thinking of is:

"They're coming to take me away..he..he...
They're coming to take me away ..ha...ha...
They're coming to take me away to the funny farm
Where life is wonderful all the time...."
