        Are you sure of that?

My recollection is that the name was assumed by English artisans who rioted against mechanisation and smashed machines during the Industrial Revolution - taking their name from Ned Lud, believed to have been an insane person who smashed two stocking frames. Some of these rioters would leave notes with the smashed machinery saying "Ned Lud was here".

I don't blame the poor guy.

His cable provider no longer plays "Matlock" reruns, so he's got lots of free time on his hands.

Seems like a nice, older gentleman who has fallen victim to the propoganda of FOX News.

Well, I like the fact he doesn't want to take any money, unfortunately he kind of ruined it by appearing on Fox...

First off, Gov. Perry just bragged just this week that he raised 1.3 million in campaign donations Secondly, he lied to the press and his own voters claiming that the wide majority of the money was from grass roots small donors when the truth is 98 percent of the money came from a handful of the richest people in the state. So not only is this guy wrong about perry but he picked one hell of a day to make that ludicrous claim that perry doesn't accept campaign donations

"Gov. Rick Perry’s bragged this week about making fundraising history in a Texas governor’s race by bringing in $1.3 million in one day from grass-roots support.

It turns out that most of the money came from those who own the field.

Forty-three donors provided $1 million of the total. Overall, $1.28 million came from 123 givers, including lobbyists and longtime political players, according to reports the Perry campaign filed with the Texas Ethics Commission." - The Dallas Morning News 3/15/10
