Pulling out all of the stops?

Is that like starting up a 24/7 propaganda channel to push health care?

Consider this you ignorant bastard, the majority of Americans still want some kind of health care reform passed despite Fox New's 24 hour a day, seven day a week, 365 day a year infomercial against national health care reform.

I saw the show tonight and he wasn't attacking the woman. He was attacking the scumbag politicians for not giving the entire story and using the kid for their political sideshow. He also made the point that if this woman couldn't get medicaid then there is a problem with medicaid that we should be able to fix right away.

As for the mother, he didn't come out and say it but I wouldn't be surprised if she and the organization she worked for exploited the kid to push this insane, so called health care reform.

MMFA said Beck attacked the woman's mom, which he did. And so did you. It's people like you and Beck who find it so easy to blame victims and victims' families, but neither of you would have the guts to smear them in person. You've got the anonymity of the internet, while Beck has the safety and security of his studio.

        DUH!

Just get your republicans to sign on to expanding medicaid to cover the uninsured. That would pre-empt anything the dems are considering. Go ahead, just do it.

The problem with medicaid (which is ridiculously easy to look up) is that living in poverty is one of a few requirements necessary in order to receive coverage - elder that are living in poverty, the disabled that are living in poverty and those in poverty who require an emergency room visits among others. Just because you are poor and have three kids, does not mean you are eligible for medicaid. You and beck might want to look stuff up before blindly spouting off. Why do you think thousands die each yr without insurance? Because they are too lazy to apply for medicaid? There are very few that would rather die than apply to medicaid. Plus, many things make you ineligible for it, even if you are poor and fall under another category that made you eligible. Like a monetary gift can put you over the extremely low poverty line.

And you know these things to be facts, just how? I know it fits with the Beck/Hannity cabal but in fact, what they say is truly stupid. That anyone in our country would EVER go through this sort of trauma is a blight on the goodness of our system. As an RN who worked in a state medical hospital, I have seen the end results of no insurance or access to health care. It involved not only adults but tagic little kids whose lives were ruined with appaling health problems due to neglect when parents were unemployed and without insurance. In the Bible it clearly states we are our brother's keepers and we fail to meet this explicit challenge when we neglect children and even adults who have so little. At a time of terrible health problems is not the time to lecture anyone about being more responsible. Sadly, my Christian friends seem to express the most vitriol toward the indegent and the poor and the needy. How sad!

Beck-I hope you lose your job, I hope you don't have benefits. You just don't get it do you! You go to the emergency room and you still have to PAY! You go and they don't give you full treatment, they only treat the symptoms and then release you. So, if you have cancer, and you go to the emergency room, you will not get chemo, you will die! You are a pimple upon the a$$ of America, and I sure hope that you get popped soon!!!

I suppose this is further evidence of his poor education. He said

"The health care debate is gonna reach its zenis this week."

      Pretty sure he meant "zenith."

I don't think I've ever seen him so cold-blooded - he accuses politicians of the very same sins he commits in using the circumstances of a woman's death for his own political means. I'm sure he has no concept of how hypocritical he so often is.

Beck is a despicable human being. What utter nonsense. This kind of thing doesn't happen where I'm from because no one loses their health care if they lose their job or for any other reason can't afford to pay for it. The idea that somehow having more people covered would increase these kinds of tragedies is idiotic, false, and sickening to listen to.

My personal motto is, don't say it, if you don't mean it. The Bible tells us that what puts a person's soul in peril is what comes out of his/her mouth. What a person says, according to the Bible, is what is is that person's heart. So bug off! Beck cannot claim to be a Christian at the same time he does/says things that are un-Christian. Anyone who takes Beck's words, believes them, and tries to convince others that he is right, is just as corrupt as he is.

Your defense of Beck reminds me of one of Judge Judy's famous sayings, "Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining."

If Glenn Beck believed for a moment that showing this child the way that Democrats did was exploiting him, then he never would have shown the clip of the boy that he did.

        He could have...

        - played the audio
        - put up a quote
        - read the boy's statement himself
        - had someone else there to explain or quote the child's message
        - shown the video with the boys face digitally distorted

Instead, he not only chose to exploit this boy in the same manner that he was accusing Democrats of, but he also exploited the tragedy of this boy's story, he made flippant suggestions that perhaps his grandmother did not care for her own daughter, and accused the Government of being guilty of its own bureaucracy, causing his mother's death.

Citing no evidence, Beck blamed the victim's mother for neglecting her daughter's condition:

"You had somebody in your own ranks that knew that... her mother knew. Dare I ask, where was grandma?"

Beck's only proof that this woman died at the hands of her mother? Her membership in the Washington Community Action Network.

Please tell me WTF does this has to do with her daughter's death. Do you think you can do it without blaming the victim's mother?

I applaud your underscoring her single Motherhood...and the transparency of her 'job' at Jack-in-the-Box...it certainly doesn't sound like the availabilty of affordable healthcare would have helped this social justice-type family...they sound like the dregs of American society...thank the dear Lord for you and your truthiness of these cheats.....GREAT JOB, BECK!

For those with a short attention span - the point of the message boiled down to this: If a single mom who is struggling to make ends meet can not get government backed healthcare using existing social programs, what makes you think she would get it after passing this new healthcare bill? I think it's a good point and if our government can not manage / control medicare, what will happen when they control healthcare at a national level? I fear we'll have more sad stories over time. This bill may break our economy and no will will have coverage anyway......

They have CROBRA - the best way to brankruptcy.

"Medicaid does not provide medical assistance for all poor persons. Even under the broadest provisions of the Federal statute (except for emergency services for certain persons), the Medicaid program does not provide health care services, even for very poor persons, unless they are in one of the designated eligibility groups." Mainly the elderly who are also living in poverty and the disabled.

In new "social justice" smear, Beck attacks mother of uninsured woman who died

Instead of saying what changes should be done to the health care bill, he just does not want any health care reform done. I do not care for the current health care bill. I think it is a give away to the health care insurance industry. I am and forever will be a single-payer advocate. It was a 30 page bill that just expanded medicare for everybody. That got scrapped for a 2,000+ page bill that is causing confusion and allows dense minded people to be influienced by Becky and other reich-winged kooks that this bill is bad. It has some good measures in it, but ultimately it stinks, and they should have allowed single-payer on the table. THAT IS WHAT EVERYONE WANTS, AND THE ELITE IS NOT HAVING IT! Puppets like Becky is helping the elite out and fighting to keep the status quo.

      SMH!

I love how he basically blames her for not getting Medicaid. I just really want to smack him up side the head and tell him that it's not about 'health care'. It's well known that we have great doctors and medical staff. The question is how the hell was she supposed to pay for it you jackass! And then to put it on her mother? He really does represent everything that's wrong with this country.

Come on, the point is, when politicians parade these these hard luck stories out in front of everyone, they're not giving you the whole story. You can believe or trust any of these politicians. They says they're going to cut a 1/2 trillion out of medicare but it's not going to affect services. Yeah right. I keep hearing "the talking is over it's time for an up or down vote". But they keep talking and they don't vote! They keep giving us the CBO numbers but they're based on numbers and conditions the politicians give them and they can't be trusted so they wrong most of the time.

No, the point is Glenn Beck slimed this young man, his dead mother and his grandmother. People like you who believe that the CRAP this uneducated, dishonest jerk represents conservatism [he doesn't] just encourage him to continue with this slop. You post talking points [your post above is just talking points] and assume that this, too, makes you a "conservative." It doesn't. Look up the term "right wing authoritarian." I can guarantee that you will see yourself in the description. It's not conservatism.

BTW, if you knew anything about this young man, you would know that he brought himself out in front of everyone and had been interviewed by news agencies BEFORE his story was brought in front of the country by health care proponents. That's what this young man WANTED . . . he said he wanted to do it for his mother.

Glenn just doesn't give a damn. Let's just make a sick woman with a small child to worry about run around trying to find and then apply for assistance programs while she's vomiting blood and sit back and wait to see if the phone rings. WHY DON'T WE JUST GIVE HER A @#%$!! HEALTHCARE CARD AND LET HER WALK IN AND USE IT WHEN SHE'S SICK GLENN??? Because it might cost Glenn and his gated community buddies another couple of bucks a year. It might cut into their spending spree they're on with all the money George W Bush gave them in tax cuts while we had 2 simultaneous wars going that people like Glenn and his ilk supported. Glenn just doesn't give a damn about anyone who doesn't make boocou bucks.
