Scott Matheson was lobbying for this job last June, when there looked to be no doubt that Obama's bill could pass just fine. Senator Orrin Hatch had known for weeks that Matheson would get the nod for this position after Hatch nominated him!
To suggest that he's getting the nod because of any quid pro quo, implicit, explicit, or illicit, is ridiculous.
He's getting the nod because he's very well qualified for the job, because he WANTED the job, and because a Republican Senator nominated him!
I'm still wondering how you can illegally nominate someone....
If Matheson votes yes, he will be annihilateed in the next election. Utah is a conservative state - Matheson only won because he has a conservative record.

Or this, Dick?
How about this, Dick?
Perhaps you mean this, Dick?
Oh, you must have meant this, Dick.
Oh, my mistake. You must have meant this, Dick.
Oh, wait. Perhaps you meant this, Dick.
Oh, silly me. I forgot IOKIYAR.
Second, soon to be Judge Matheson was recommended by Republican Senators.
There is No question, NONE, that Matheson was nominated on the merits.
Your "we shall see" simply does not cut it.
In this dispute, one side (YOURS and Hannity's and Beck's) is CLEARLY wrong, and the other side (Matheson's and all sane people) is right.
