      Palin, the woman who was found to have abused power as governor and then claim she was vindicated, is claiming something is unconstitutional? When did she and Hannity become a constitutional expert?

        This is a flat out lie. She was never found to have abused her power as governor. The Branchflower report COMPLETELY vindicated her. You can't argue with her on substance so you like about her and slander her. She will have the last laugh on 1/20/13.

          I notice that on this thread not one person has offered a single word of substantive dispute to what Governor Palin said. If she is wrong, explain why she is wrong.

          Calling her stupid or commenting on her hair does not rebut the validity of her remarks. Obviously you people can not rebut anything she said because you know she was 100% correct. If she is wrong, criticize her on substance. If she is as dumb as you claim, it should be easy to debunk her arguments. Evidently she is smarter than all of you because you can't dispute her on anything.

            One, I am skeptical that palin has actually read the whole constitution. I feel like she looks up specific items just for effect. Two, it says explicitly in the constitution that each body of congress is tasked with making their own rules to govern that body. Just like the executive branch has made their rules and structure and the judicial branch has made their rules. If congress passed the deem and pass rule by that congress, the supreme court will never say that the rule is unconstitutional based on those grounds. There is in fact, NOTHING in the constitution about reconciliation or the filibuster and legislation was supposed to be counted by the majority. But that is where the body making their own rules comes in again - they had cloture votes that turned into the ability to filibuster that led to another rule to be able to pass budget related legislation through reconciliation and so on. If the supreme court says such a rule is unconstitutional, they would really be declaring all of congress' many insane rules unconstitutional and that ruling would directly contradict the constitutional law that the bodies of congress are granted the ability to govern themselves.

            These morons will say that congress doesn't have the constitutional power to make its own rules just as readily as they will say the president has the constitutional power to declare war when in fact the constitution grants ONLY congress the ability to declare war and make laws necessary to execute it. The president as commander and chief has the power to veto a declaration of war by the ccngress, repel attacks and lead the armed forces. But why use the actual words of the constitution to prove a point, why not just pull out the constitution whenever we feel it convenient to support our own personal opinion right? And a good chunk of the PATRIOT act was chalk full of blatant disregard for the constitution and most of it was later repealed as a result of courts ruling it was unconstitutional.

      Suddenly Sarah 'Quitter' Palin is concerned about the will of the people? She couldn't remember what periodicals she reads, but suddenly she's an expert in Constitutional law? She was in favor of the filibuster, but now that this isn't going to work, she wants an up and down vote?

      Sorry, but it's passed the House and Senate already, guys. And, the two versions are about to be reconciled and signed by the President. Game over. You lose. Better luck next time. Kinda like the 2008 elections, huh?

        This is the general tone on the am radio dial, that reforming health care is unconstitutional and illegal. I already heard some of the Banana Republicans talking about repealing any bill that passes, and I think they're already making up lawsuits.

        I also heard Hannity supporting his claim that "The American People" are opposed to reform by citing some polls that asked people if they would support federal funding for abortion.

        Somebody should check Hannity's approval ratings. They could ask a question like "Do you approve of Sean Hannity performing federally funded abortions?".

You would think that people would start expecting and asking the media to actually tell them the truth.         Not only that, but she couldn't even correctly describe what the Vice President actually does ("He's the leader of the Senate"). And, unlike the question of health care, the role of the VP is in the Constitution, and she flubbed it badly.

      1 -- Here's how the Republicans develop tactics for fighting Democrats in Congress:

      A -- Look back to what THEY did when THEY were in the majority.

      B -- Complain that Democrats are doing it and pretend that it's never been done before.

      2 -- Sarah Palin complains that President Obama and Congress have "ignored the will of the American people."

      A -- Half-term quitter ex-governor Palin should probably stop and consider the reason why she's a paid Fox News "contributor" and is not addressed today as "Vice President Palin."

      I knew there had to be some reason for Palin always mocking the president for being a constitutional scholar. She wants to be one, too, only without having to do all of the hard work it entails.

      Fuchs Noose has granted her an honorary doctorate as a constitutional scholar of knownothingness.

      I'm surprised that Palin can spell the "un" in "unconstitutional". Perhaps one of McCain's handlers gave her the needed help, a quid pro quo for her promised appearance with Senator John in Tucson (which must be a hell of a noun for Sarah to pronounce correctly.)

        If this bill is unconstitutional and unAmerican(now there is a word thrown around quite a bit) didn't the Republicans have a hand in putting in over 100 Amendments. Maybe Sarah is just trying to push her new party, the Moose Party into power.

        I really think that Seannie gets a little excited around Sarah. And the Black Widow senses it and plays wears him like a cheap suit. Or is that Barracuda?

        If Congress passed a 3000% reduction in healthcare premiums that would mean that not only would your policy be free, but the insurance company would write you a check for 29 times the amount of the premium.

        Perhaps BHO wants to run the country according to this sort of economics, but in the real world it will not work. Barry is a pathological liar.

        He promised the idiots they would get raises. That is like an 8th grader running for class president on a platform of no work and elongated recess. Barry is a fraud.

          This is a good sound bite, might be around as long as a " putting food on your family", but you really don't think the Prez was really trying to tell people that premiums would be reduced by 3000%, do you?

          In case you've actually been fooled by your sources of information, I'll help you; I think he meant to say $3,000.

            I think he actually meant to say 30%, based upon context.

            He either misspoke or the teleprompter had the wrong info on it. I posted the transcript of the speech that is on whitehouse.gov earlier today on another thread, and after "3000%", it said [sic], so clearly it was an error.

            He didn't mean it. Clearly he didn't, but trolls can't debate the facts and so they're making baseless attacks over Obama misspeaking about this!

        Congrats, Oscar, I think you guys have a live one with that 3,000% gaffe. I'm surprised more of the wingnuts here haven't latched onto it, it's actually a good one. It's what they wanted the 57 states thing to be, or the "corpsemen" flub.

        It took a little over a year, but Obama finally did one that would be a normal day for W. I seriously recommend you get those emails out to all your friends.

      This pretty much convinces me that she has learned nothing about politics and government. She doesn't know the role of the Speaker of the House, so she can't state what N Pelosi's part in this Reform is. Just the talking points, which she babbles inarticulately, and introduces clumsily, even when talking to a worshipper.

        What happened to the Bible and Jesus... I thought she loved Jesus, why does she treat him so poorly by letting thousands die because we won't provide health care?
