How were Newt and the Hammer hateful. Tom DeLay was very effective as Majority Leader. That is why the Dems trumped up bogus charges against him - they wanted to get rid of him because he was so effective. We could use more good men like the Hammer in Congress.

And, if DeLay ever goes to prison, they can call him "The Anvil" -- for the same reason.

We could have used him in Vietnam, but the dumb chickenhawk said that he didn't go because the blacks and Hispanics got all the good jobs......

The only good thing about Tom DeLay is that he's out of office. He should be rotting in a prison cell somewhere.

How was Newt hateful? Are you that ignorant to history? When you get a chance look up the memo he sent out in the early 90's instructing Republicans in congress what key words to refer to when describing Republicans or Democrats. For Republicans it was words like "honest" and "patriotic." For Democrats it was words like "hateful" and "traitorous."

In my opinion the three most divisive Americans (U.S.A.), the ones who did the most to deliberately divide the people of this country, were Jerry Falwell, Rush Limbaugh, and Newt Gingrich.

READ SOME HISTORY. You know, facts and stuff.

        Mano,

Limbaugh was pretty tough on Bill Clinton too, in fact downright hateful. So I think any Dem Prez would get rough treatment from this guy. But I do agree that Obama being an AA does seem to get Limbaugh extra fired up.

          Jeter,

I concur that any Dem would be getting it from Limbaugh or the rightwing noise machine. I am careful not to attribute racism to most of the attacks on Obama because, even when I suspect them, it's hard to prove in many cases as it's often done with plausible deniability built in. I don't like tarring someone with the racist brush if it isn't truly warranted. That said, Rush has a long history of going up to and over that edge, taking giddy delight in pushing racial buttons (especially since Obama took office).

            To Christopher
There is no need to be diplomatic. Rush is shameless. It is time to speak truth to power. I believe in calling it like it is. I know Rush has a problem with Democrats, but I also know a racist when I hear one. Rush is a RACIST and he is dangerous. On top of that Rush has a history of racist remarks. He makes no apology for them. There is no doubt Rush is a racist.
There is no need to be shy about the obvious.

Bobby Jindal sycophant: I would put Newt up against her on an IQ test any day of the week.

I wouldn't take that bet, frankly, although Newt's PhD hasn't prevented him from doing and saying some really stupid things.

But what about the other thing Rush said, about her being "hateful"? If you want to argue that Pelosi has ever done anything close to Newt in that regard (serving up divorce papers to his wife while she was in a hospital bed recovering from cancer surgery, anyone?), I'd say you have a large mountain to climb.

Or are you going to claim that never actually happened, like you've done with so many other documented facts?

So, Bobby Jindal fan has two basic premises:

            1) All Faux Cons and neocons can be implicitly trusted on whatever they say regardless of how it does or does not agree with reality.

            2) All libruls are bad and evil 'cause he says so and he is always right and a Faux Con so see rule #1 if you don't like it. Nyah.

Russ Feingold is a man of principle and conviction. He is sincere and does what he believes to be right. He is intelligent and patriotic. I respect and admire Sen. Feingold.

I would not vote for him because I believe is wrong on the issues, but I would never question his integrity. He is an honorable (and highly intelligent) man.

I have no problem with liberals who are sincere and maintain their convictions and intellectually honesty. Feingold has never tried to deceive anyone. I disagree with him, but it is a principled disagreement.

Despite what liberals like to claim, IQ tests and SAT scores are an EXTREMELY accurate barometer of intelligence anjd cognitive puissance.

Liberals claim some people don't "test well". If one doesn't "test well" it is because they are not all that bright. I personally believe college admission should be determined EXCLUSIVELY by SAT scores.

I would like BHO to release his SAT scores (which are a better barometer of intelligence than grades) as well as SAT scores.

Produce ONE SINGLE QUOTE. You can't. You are lying.

I maintain that my supposition is that BHO is 105-110. My guest guess for Sarah is 125.

Sister Sarah's IQ which you placed at around 125, about the same as your own.

I did no such thing. I NEVER referenced myself either in relation to Sarah or independently. Produce a quote or admit you are a liar.

What point are you trying to make with regard to eidetic memory?

Here's the thread. It took me about 3 minutes of looking on Google to find the posts on the right thread.

Well, I estimate that BHO's IQ is about 105-110. So, yes Sarah Palin and I both do have a higher IQ than Barry.

I would guess that Sarah Palin's IQ is somewhere around 120-125.

You sure did. You compared yourself to Sarah Palin, and YOU said that her's was around 125, and that Obama's was significantly lower than that.

But don't worry, I'm happy to flag your posts to get you to leave that way.

Remember when I mentioned PSAT scores a while back? Mine is 99th percentile, and BJF, I estimated in Neocon Math style, would be (by his estimation) 119th?

Misspelling "arguments" like "arguements" is NOT a typo. It's a misspelling. It's thinking that "arguments" has the e in it. Your fingers didn't slip from the "u" to the "e", or from the "m" to the "e".

This is a relatively common spelling error.

So, you can't even be honest enough to admit to making a spelling error.

How do you know she uses botox? You don't know that.

And second of all, you did not simply "state" that she uses botox. You used her appearance as a tool with which to attack her intelligence (the botox is seeping into her brain and making her stupid, or something along those lines). The botox (her appearance) was the weapon you used to attack her intellect. It's a common tactic used to de-value women.

And on another thread, you were offended that posters were even commenting on Sarah Palin's hair.

There's a word for this type of behavior: hypocrisy.

You have a valid point. I stand corrected and I shouldn't have said that. Everyone should be judged on their merits and not their appearacne.

People do attack women based upon their appearance. I was ignorant of that in teh past, but the attacks on Sarah Palin showed me that this is true.

I am offended when people criticize Sarah on the basis of her appearance, and it is indeed hypocritical to have one set of standards for Palin and another for Pelosi simply because I agree with one's politics and disagree with the other's.

                            I stand humbled and corrected.

No reply from you to either the original post or the repost. Ditto when I responded to your claim that there is "no evidence" that Paul the Apostle was exposed to Hellenistic cultural influences. Ditto for the Sarah Palin abuse of power issue that was discussed today, etc. Just crickets from you.

What a fool. He doesn't think that there's 57 states. He was tired, he was thinking of 47 states that he'd visited so far, and 50 states total, and he said 57.

That comment says nothing about his intelligence.

He doesn't think that his bill will lower premiums by 3000% either. He simply misspoke, which again says NOTHING about his intelligence.

And lots of very smart people who had never seen the word "corpsman" written down would mispronounce it. They would KNOW that they'd heard "core-man" on shows like MASH and other war movies, but they might not associate it with that word.

So, if THOSE are what you're basing your decision on, you're even crazier and stupider than ANY of us already thought you were! I mean, really?

IQ tests in the United States are biased to the East coast and primarily the city of Boston.

A prime example of this is a question that was on them for years and the only excepted answer.

"Toward what ocean do rivers in the United States flow?" The only answer that was deemed correct was the Atlantic Ocean.

In truth the answer is if east of the Continental Divide the Atlantic Ocean to the west of the Continental Divide the Pacific Ocean.

This is a bias that makes IQ test not fair or accurate.

IQ scores determine how functioning is the brain and don't really tell the whole picture of intelliungence. Even worse are the SATs, which combine stress, extremely small time-frames and the fact that you can score high thanks to chance.

Absurd. The SAT and IQ tests are EXTREMELY accurate barometers of overall intelligence. If it were up to me, univeristy admissions would be based exclusively on the SAT. People who don't score well on an IQ test and the SAT don't want to face the fact that they are simply not as bright as they think they are.

Nope, you CAN get lucky on the SAT's. Some people will get the exact number of points they 'deserve' from guessing when they can rule out 2 of the wrong answers - they'll get a few right, and a few less than that wrong, and it will just barely give them a few more points.

Others will get unlucky, and they'll rule out a couple of answers, but will STILL guess wrong more often than not, and they'll be punished for their wrong answers and that will lower their score.

And then others will get lucky, and score higher than they should have, and likely would another time, by getting away with many more guesses than the laws of probability explain should happen.

Now, the IQ test is MUCH harder to have that happen. As long as one is taking an age-appropriate IQ test, then one can't fake that result by lucky guessing.

Please don't feed this troll anymore.

IQ's are NOT relevant to this discussion at ALL! He's making troll posts to draw negative attention. Stop giving it to him.

You also informed us of your stellar scores on the LSAT, which you claimed to have taken. You claimed that yours was much higher than Obama's which you estimated was around 120. Which, I might add would have barred him from entry to Harvard Law School, no matter who you claim paid for his education. The LSAT required for admission to Harvard Law School is in the 169-175. A LSAT of 171, which is the average of students admitted translates to an IQ of 138 which qualifies one for Mensa. An LSAT of 169 would require extremely good grades.

Before you make comments like you do, you really should know what the hell you're talking about instead of just posting BS you picked up from free republic or one of your other "civil" blogs.

Sure, maybe those are the mean scores for Harvard law school - but we all know that those weren't Barry's scores. He got into Harvard because Khalid al-Mansour and Percy Sutton greased the skids.

I would be STUNNED if Barry got over a 120 on the LSAT. He did not gain admission to HLS on his merits. His admission was rigged and fixed.

You're a liar, BJ. And we DON'T know that those were not the president's scores. You are posting talking points and rumors. Sutton wrote a letter of recommendation for Obama at Khalid al-Mansour's request. Sutton also said that Obama had met all of the admission requirements to get into Harvard Law School. As I posted above, an LSAT of 169-175 is required for admission.

Just a hint. Talking points and rumors gleaned from NewsMax and WND are rarely true.

He certainly did not gain admission on the basis of his LSAT score. As someone who has taken the LSAT, I would be absolutely stunned if BHO got any higher than 140 on the LSAT. He probably got around 120 which would put him inthe 105-110 IQ range.

Hmmm, BJF is posting on this thread, but hasn't replied to THIS smackdown.

                    Hmmm, curious.

Could it be that he's A TROLL, simply out to enflame posters and get negative attention?

And when someone debunks his assertions, mocks him, and tells other to ignore him, that he shuts up?

What an amazing discovery I've made, huh? Refraining from feeding the troll works! Imagine that!

You so did, BJF... we all read it. You have claimed intelligence and education for yourself that is belied by your conversation. "Cognitive puissance"??? Come on now! You are punching above your weight. I'm starting to accept bintx's assertion that you're a teenager who should really be in school!

I have referenced my education and have never referenced my intelligence. I can't help it if I have a more expansive vocabulary than you do.

Even though you don't agree with me, do you really honestly believe I am in high school?

Don't you dare compare vocabularies, son. Just to be clear: it's not your thesaurus i criticize, it's your writing style. I make no mention of your careless spelling, nor your inability/unwillingness to engage in serious discussion. As for your opinions, i am one who's tried to discuss these on their merits alone. Such as they are.

"My self-esteem is quite high." - a phrase that every counsellor knows is virtually sure to be untrue. And to continually "defy" people to do or say something in order to prove the unprovable - or at least the not-worth-proving - shows a profound insecurity. Small-dog syndrome.

You know, Porkeater, most intelligent people don't really walk around talking about their IQ scores much. It's not that big a deal to them. It is the marginally intelligent folks who think that it's something that other people would want to know. They're wrong.

Actually, I was probably the closest, when I mentioned my PSAT and SAT results showed 99th percentile overall, with a low of 87th for math.
That only roughly relates to actual IQ scores, and when I go to one of those 'test your IQ' sites, they usually give some number and an ad for their pay service.

This is true. It's also possible to luck out a good score on a test and make, oh, 125 when you're closer to 90. Of course, as you say, even 125 is nothing to write home about.

Really....you do know, because you seem an aware and learned individual, that not only did she graduate at the top of her college class (Trinity), she interned in DC prior to her marriage. She then went on to be primarily a wife and mother for the next 20 years to her husband and five children. When her youngest child was in high school, she became involved in local politics. Ans so on and on....
Certainly, one can disagree with her politics, but accuracy in opinion means being believable. No one can believe Speaker Pelosi is stupid...not even you.

Chuck Schumer is highly intelligent. So are both Clintons, Barney Frank, Russ Feingold and numerous other Democrats. I profoundly disagree with their politics, but I do not deny their intelligence.

Pelosi, Obama, and Reid are not intelligent - they are the three stooges.

Yep, Obama was named editor of the Harvard law review because he's not smart.

OK, if that's what you think...

They just don't hand that out to anyone, you have to be top of your class in order to be considered for it, and regardless of what you think, Harvard is a pretty darn tough, and well respected school.
