      I realize that in the moment the "process matters" but 5 years from now, no one will care how we got health care reform, I just think we will all be glad it happened.

      The US Constitution wasn't ratified unanimously. Originally Benjamin Franklin urged for unanimous consent but the convention agreed that that only 9 of 13 was enough to ratify.

      I'm sure if Beck lived in that time he'd be saying how the Philadelphia convention is trying to cram the Constitution down our throats.

      Massachusetts voted 187-168
      Virginia 89-79
      Rhode Island 34-32

      The point is the process only matters to those on the inside, the rest of us only care about the laws

        This debate is historic as i think this is the first time in american history that the process in which legislation is going to be passed has received significantly more attention than the substance of that legislation. In fact, I dont think substance has been accurately covered by almost any major media source recently. Faux haven't felt the need to honestly discuss the substance of the bill AT ALL but even CNN has completely glossed over what the bill would actually do.
