Hey now-don't make fun of people with those cysts-I've had one before and it's NOT pretty.

But actually, it sounds like Obama's been declaring war on the insurance industry for a long time now, and rightfully so. How is Rush trying to spin this as a bad thing?

60% of the bankruptcy filings in America are due to medical costs...3/4 of those filers HAD INSURANCE. So yeah, it's a BIG problem and needs a 'war.'

The fact that you're too stupid to spell that word further illustrates that you have no idea what you're talking about. Hey, remember that time you claimed European countries had double-digit unemployment and posted a link that said the exact opposite? That was awesome.

Caterpillar wrote a letter to Pelosi letting her know if Obamacare passes, that it will cost them 100 mil in the 1st year. You want to know how Caterpillar is handeling it? They are laying off 160 people with more to come. It wont just be them, ALOT of businesses will be doing this. So, while you sit there and hate millionaires, think of the people who are loosing their jobs.

Healthcare costs will not go down. Infact they will skyrocket. I know you don't believe it because it doesn't fit in your liberal fantasy land. But like I said, go ahead and hate millionaries and the people who create jobs but think about the people who loose their jobs in the meantime. Maybe when they get evicted cause they can't afford thier house payment or loose their car. BUT they will have healthcare provided by the government. YEAH!!!

Millionaires don't "create" jobs. Millionaires hire people based on demand and the prospect that the hiring of a person will bring in more money than it costs to employ them.

I look at it this way... If the ultimate result is the government turning into a fascist society, then a couple lessons may be learned...

                1) The people will not allow it to happen again (for a while)
                2) The rich/corporations will learn that a happy middle class prevents that kind of thing from happening.

This is like telling someone who lives at home how bad things will be when he moves out.

"You'll have to do your own laundry, cook your own food, pay your rent!"

Either he'll get scared and stay at home, and therefore remain in his crappy situation, or he'll move out and things will either be better or worse... But you know obviously that his current situation is not working out well for him.

Millionaires don't create jobs. They may provide capital, but they don't create jobs. Know who does? Small business. Know who hates small business? Big business. Know who the Big Business Party is? The GOP. Job growth takes place at the smallest companies first, because they are the first to feel the need to expand when people start buying stuff again. A company running hundreds of employees on three shifts just adds overtime, because at the beginning of the recovery it's cheaper than going through the hiring/training cycle, among other things.

As for eviction, 750,000 bankruptcies last year due to medical costs, and most of those had health insurance. What exactly is it that health insurance companies are bringing to the table again? And, you can peddle your 'boo-hoo' to the 45,000 Americans who die from lack of coverage, seahawks123. I'm sure they'll be glad to listen.

That's the same Caterpillar which handed over $100 million in corporate bonuses to it's execs last year.

Naturally, companies like this will respond by laying off workers, not trimming their bloated bonus system, because they don't give a flying damn about their workers. And there's a bonus- they can bleat "told you so" while they hand out the pink slips.

And you'll be on the sidelines, cheering the whole time.

The Irony is that big companies like Caterpillar would benefit from Nationalized Healthcare. The reason they're laying off people is global competition. They're competing against companies that don't have to provide Healthcare to their workers.

It's really not that complicated, but the Troglodytes have developed such a kneejerk hatred of catching up to the rest of the civilized world, they're willing to go down with the ship rather than abandon their Ayn Rand superman fantasies.

Yeah, thanks for the link to back up your allegation.

Oops, no, you didn't provide ANY link to document the circumstances and the context of the Caterpillar letter to Pelosi.

            But I DID.

And it says NOTHING like what you're claiming.

In short: if Caterpillar had to pay $100 million for extra health care costs in 2007 (a lucrative year but more representative than what the company earned during the height of the recession), that would have represented just 2.8 percent of its profits.

Oh, boo hoo for them. And no, I'd rather think about the tens of millions of people who'll be getting insurance, and the tens of thousands of people who won't die because of a lack of healthcare insurance. See, because I have a brain AND a heart.

PLEASE, PLEASE stop feeding this troll. He's not interested in participating in a fair and reasonable debate on the topic.

Would that it were true. Unfortunately, like most of what comes through the golden microphone, it's barnyard business.

If Limbaugh is right that Obama has declared war on the insurance industry, then Limbaugh needs to stop attacking Obama. Because, as Limbaugh would be the first to tell you, it's unpatriotic to criticize a president in a time of war.

Noooo! Its only been a few decades coming.

And of course, nothing has actually happened that rush speaks of. Im sure the insurance industry is very satisfied that this is going to be our healthcare reform. We call it reform, the CEOs of the industry are calling it the insurance bailout for the industry that has crapped all over the american people.

A letter Thursday to President Barack Obama and members of Congress signed by more than 130 economists predicted the legislation would discourage companies from hiring more workers and would cause reduced hours and wages for those already employed.

Then that is what the company should do. You know, those millionaires who provide jobs..I guess not all the time.

And Seahawks, I have a suggestion for you. You should go to a site called MEDIA MATTERS FOR AMERICA and read up on the other side of your favorite sources. It is really something to read the counter side of Freeperviller reports. Really, try MMFA and read something there. Let me know how it works out and I promise to give you more gooerest adivce later on.

I hope he wins and forces the insurance industry to start acting rebonsably. The whole insurance industry regaurdless of the type of insurance should be no profit to stop the insentive to deny claims or dropping of people making calaims.

It's the system that's broken. Insurance companies are just doing what they exist to do - make a profit. They don't care if people die. They don't care if people are denied care. The only thing they care about is making a profit.

And health insurance/care shouldn't be a profit center.
