And for all you people who thought that Ted Nugent just didn't suck nearly enough, and wanted someone with, believe it or not, even less talent, to advise you on matters of national importance, here's Gene.

I don't know King, I'd rather wait for Brittney Spears or maybe Ozzy Osborne to advise us on matters of national importance ;-)

No one cares about what Peter Criss thinks. Even Peter Criss doesn't care what Peter Criss thinks.

the title refers to simmons' ex-bandmate because criss was diagnosed with, and subsequently beat, breast cancer, and was meant to call into question how criss would feel about his extremely wealthy former bandmate advocating the denial of affordable and accessible health care to those less fortunate than he. the answer to which i guess we all know.

if you wanna talk [expletive deleted] about cancer survivors, that's your... uh... choice.

              have a nice day, dood.

It's possible that I detest a media figure more than I detest Megyn Kelly.

And it's possible that OJ Simpson is innocent.

But not very likely in either case.

Really? Clinton, bush and obama? What has the government got involved in thats been a disaster besides war and the inability to free themselves of outside interests? The only time government sucks is when they are being influence by wall street or insurance industry or pharma or big oil or big tobacco or producers of industrial chemicals. This is when government fails us - the SEC and fed were bought by wall street so they failed. Big oil has lobbied congress so hard they failed to address environmental concerns. Insurance had suck a tight grip of washington, they couldn't pass a public option. Pharm payed them so much, they wouldn't allow drug importation. But when it comes to medicare, public schools, public hospitals, government scholarships, providing national defense, postal service, social security, highways, etc. the government has not failed at all. In fact, they have proved very capable once the actual program can be pushed through congress and signed. This fallacy that the government is some sort of abject failure is just moronic and doesn't make a lick of sense. Do the right wing tards think that the military is a complete failure too. I mean are they not controlled by the government?

Yes, what does a multi-gazillionaire who has intercourse with 10 different women each day have to say about people who can't afford health care insurance? I'm on pins and needles.

Me, too. Not sure when the idea that being obscenely wealthy was a "conservative" goal.

I was taught to live "conservatively." Even if I had gobs of cash, I'd probably continue to live as simply as I do now.

I sure wish to be in a position to worry about how my estate will be taxed after the $1,000,000 deductible. I doubt that I'd get much sleep with ten women in my bed, so I'll leave that to Mr. Simmons

Well, at least he voted for Obama.

He'd be well advised to inform himself of healthcare policy as much as he apparently has of estate planning.

And then Ted can explain how to mask the artificial scent most people give off due to their use of deodorants and soap products. It comes in handy when in the woods trying for big game.

And You young Republicans can learn a thing or two about evading serving your country by literally being a pantload.

I love that look of utter clueless bedazzlement on Megyn Kelly's face. That somehow manages to supersede the fact that, yes, that was indeed a segment in which they interviewed Gene Simmons on health care reform.

Runner-up goes to the B-roll of Kiss footage in the background in the middle of this super-serious interview.

Shocking how Gene Simmons is brought on for an interview and just happens to be against health care reform and to plug...life insurance? It must be hard to find a contemporary, relevant musician that opposes health care reform. Fair and balanced.

Gene makes an excellent point when he suggests people get educated on important issues before deciding or believing in something. He drops the ball, however, when he says that health care is a bad idea.

He says that "everyone should have the ability to do that, get good jobs", but he fails to realize that there are many people who CAN'T get good jobs. (Not to mention the fact that getting a good job isn't easy.)

Moreover, there are many people who HAD good jobs, but lost them due to the economy. That is no fault of theirs! These are not people who just sit at home all day and expect the government to take care of them. These are hard working citizens that got snagged up in the mess of our economy. How does one get over such an obstacle, Gene?

It's easy to sit up there on your high, million dollar horse, Gene, but not everyone is as fortunate as you. He, just like Rush, take no issue with the current health care system we have here. Well, of course they wouldn't! They already HAVE health care, and they can afford to keep it! They don't know what it's like to have chronic conditions and daily medications, but have no money to manage them or go broke doing it. I wonder what Rush would have done when he needed surgery on his ear a few years ago, where he needed an implant, if he didn't have health insurance and had the salary of an average worker?

I wish that one day people like them could experience what it's like to not have health care when they need it most, and not be able to use their big bucks to help them out. I bet they would have a very different opinion.

I think it's nice that FOX News can give Gene Simmons a forum in which he can bitch about his estate taxes and can at the same time shill for his life insurance company which will help you avoid paying your estate taxes. As a citizen, this is the kind of insight I need when trying to form my opinion about health care reform.
