Better than using it for torture. Oh. Except the bribe thing has been debunked. Still better than torture.

      OMFG!

The lying SOB's that the Mormonster had on in this segment made my Northern California living-in-the-middle-of-gazillion-acres-of-rice-fields blood boil.

One of the real causes of the "water shortage" is the explosion in the acreage of rice fields. Since the S.E. Asian droughts began a few years ago, the greatest-water-evaporating, crop-price-supported, water-price-supported, near-completely exported rice crop has been lowering the amount of water entering the Sacramento/San Joaquin delta by thousands and thousands of acre-feet.

'Course that would be a fact, and that's one four-letter word Beck can't stand.

My daughter is a student at William & Mary. She has gone to listen to one of the Trustees speak at least once, the trustee is Sandra Day O'Connor, the retired Supreme Court Justice. Justice O'Connor was from Arizona and had a special interest in water rights laws, something nearly unique on the Court. Justice O'Connor said the next great struggles in this country will come over water rights in the West. Why? Because in the West, unlike other parts of the country, water rights do not come with the property automatically. You may by the land but not have the rights to the water that flows past it or through it. It may not be a weapon used by liberals against others, but it is an area that could become volitile in the near future.

They are already working on it here in Colorado. The white-water rafting industry is working with significant property owners to make it illegal for anyone to use waterways besides of course, the owners of the property and surprise! the white water rafting companies. If this goes through, and I really don't know too much more about it, Colorado will have the most restrictive us of waterways and rivers in the country.

Well, the only way to use WATER as a wedge is to freeze water into a triangular shape, Glenn. Then it's ice, not water.

If I was trying to BRIBE Congresspersons and buying their health care vote, I'd use money instead of water, you know, like lobbyists for the health insurance industry have been doing.

      BRIBING them with water?
