and by the way, who writes laws with holes in them ? I know for a fact in my own state of Washington, earlier this year they voted on a obsolete law that was rewritten. And who is actively enforcing existing immigration laws when the Senate GOP holds up key appointments of the Obama administration ?

I never liked the Enquirer, preferred Weekly World News.. especially BatBoy. I have a collection that a friend picked up for me from doctors' offices, etc. and the really cool thing about them is one week they'd have Elvis is Alive, next week Elvis' Ghost Serenades My Cows (real headline).

Of course, I have to dig out my old MAD magazines, I remember one headline when they parodied the Enquirer: 8 year old girl gives birth to teenager!

"For a fair and balanced debate..." Sure, if you consider blatant racism "fair and balanced."

I guess there's nothing liberal or conservative about racism. But there sure is something right-wing about racism, and that's the real problem here. A strong conservative voice would be a welcome asset to our democracy - if there were any left with a shred of wisdom and responsibility.

This thread is to expose Fox's LYING about The POTUS cutting deals he is not, did not, and will not cut. These deals do not exist. They are maid up out of whole cloth. Fox uses this kind manufactured controversy/lie to make reactionaries, like yourself, all riled up with indignation over something that isnt even true. Congrats . . .

The problem is not the "illegal aliens" but the illegal employers. If we start enforcing the law on our citizens who break it the numbers of those coming for jobs would drop drastically. However the right fights that part of enforcement.

      During the campaign or before:

"Obama has said that he does not believe that the 12 million illegal immigrants should be deported. He said 'It's not going to happen. We're not going to go round them up ... We should give them a pathway to citizenship.'"

"Obama has supported granting driver's licenses to illegal immigrant"

"In November 2007, Obama stated that, 'We can … go a long way toward meeting industry’s need for skilled workers with Americans. Until we have achieved that, I will support a temporary increase in the H-1B visa program as a stopgap measure until we can reform our immigration system comprehensively.'"

"In July 2007, Obama said, 'Find out how many senators appeared before an immigration rally last year. Who was talking the talk, and who walked the walk -- because I walked…I didn't run away from the issue, and I didn't just talk about it in front of Latino audiences.'"

"'I believe we must secure our borders, fix our broken immigration bureaucracy, and require the 12 million undocumented to get on a responsible path to citizenship. I will also increase the number of people we allow in the country legally to a level that unites families and meets the demand for jobs employers cannot fill. I support comprehensive immigration reform that includes improving our visa programmes, including the H-1B programme, to attract some of the world's most talented people to America', Obama said in an interview with IANS in October 2008"

Oh there are more. But those were the easiest quote to find. Not only did obama express that he desired immigration reform and that he would not shy from the issue but he supported increasing issuing of visas, he was expressly against deportation and "GET OUR 12 MILLION UNDOCUMENTED WORKERS ON THE PATH TO CITIZENSHIP." That was in october of 2008. Just because you don't remember it and can't find the time to look stuff like this up (about ten seconds) doesnt mean obama never said it. The lies are just out of control.

          2) Reagan, Clinton and Bush 2 all got second terms, so even if Obama was lying about this (which he isn't), the American people don't seem to mind.

The beautiful part of this whole thing is that people are hurting economically right now and many are unemployed. They are going to wonder why a President is granting amnesty to the very people that cause havoc on the economic system in America. Maybe Obama can let more in from Haiti while he is at it! Oh wait, he already did that.
