The 50% who wanted this bill are not Americans according to Glenn Beck.

It wasn't 50% by all the polls I've seen. You lie!

Actually, it was more than 50% before the Republicans started lying about it.

Then you've only seen the polls FOX News wants you to see. Take off the blinders.

Actually no, MagCynic. You're just horribly ill-informed, that's all. But, you deserve no pity for your condition, because you CHOOSE to be this way. You choose to listen only to polls that confirm you in your world view.

We had a poll, first in November 2006, and then again in November 2008. Everyone in America got asked first: Do you want more of the Bush/Cheney Republican led government? In both 06 and 08 the answer was a resounding 'No!' Then, in 08, a slightly different question was asked: Do you believe health coverage needs to be reformed? Again, a resounding 'Yes!', leading to Democrats controlling both sides of Congress and taking the White House.

We will have another poll in November of this year, and the Republicans and Faux Cons are afraid of what they will find. That is why they are so shrill and indignant today. They know they've lost.

I didn't hear him say that. Maybe you have the wrong clip or something. I wanted to send it to a friend. Could you find the clip where he says that?

If memory serves the Senate bill got 60 votes.

Is Glenn now suggesting a bill is unconstitutional if it receives too much support?

Gee, Glenn, I could swear this bill got 60 votes in the Senate. I guess the MSM got it wrong again.

Quick! Someone get Glenn a Wiki link to the word "filibuster." Obviously he doesn't know why he needed a super-majority to pass the bill through the Senate.

The Senate already passed this bill with 60 votes. WTF is Beck talking about?

That is rhetorical, right? Because we all know, even beck doesn't know what he's talking about most of the time.

Just be honest Beck, you wouldn't be happy no matter how Democrats passed this bill. You lying, hate-mongering hypocrite...

Ed Schultz last night pointed out that there were several committee votes and complete house and senate votes, and there was only one, only ONE Republican vote. Period. Just one.

This is Pelosi's day in the sun. Cue the facelift/botox "jokes" from the nutjobs.

"You couldn't even get it done the right way with 51 votes in the Senate" - in other words, "You lose, because you only beat 90% of the crap out of us."

Predictable, and predicted. I said to my wife last night, "Now that this has passed, the wingnuts no longer have the 'Obama's never gotten anything done (untrue, of course, as others have documented on this site)drum to beat. Now they'll say 'he couldn't have done it without...' fill in the blank."

He definitely did it without the GOP. That's for sure.

In 3-5 years from now when this is popular, those republicans who were so dead set against this will be in trouble.

      Beck is right on this.

He did it with 60 votes.
