I assumed by "turning point" Becky meant he would be officially announcing what we knew all along: that he is a turncoat, and has turned against his own country.

Probably not, Beck. It'll end up like the tea party rallies did . . . in our city, those little bits of idiocy drew crowds of about .012% of the total population of my city and a large portion of those folks came from the small towns in the surrounding area.

Huh? I wasn't making a point about small towns being "like that." About half of the people who came to the tea party rallies HERE came from small towns in our area. There are a lot of small towns in our area. They didn't have tea party rallies in their little towns. They just wanted to show up somewhere.

My point was that very few people showed up at all.

Yeah, remeber Palin's rally at sen Reid's home town where they actually bussed people in. The only residents that appear to be happy were hot dog vendors.

Revolutions/civil wars are often turning points, Glenn. Is that the kind of thing you mean? If so, most people will want no part. Hardly anyone takes him seriously anyway.

"I Have a Dream" is the famous name given to the sixteen minute public speech by Martin Luther King, Jr., in which he called for racial equality and an end to discrimination. King's delivery of the speech on August 28, 1963, from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom,

Beck wanting a "turning point" for America: Great and wonderful.

Obama allegedly wanting "fundamental change" for America: Bad, Marxist, radical, un-American.

      Just so we're clear.

Not if you go by the standards of Fox News hocus pocus (ie, using footage from previous rallies to pad out the crowds, shooting in closeup with a wide angled lens to make the crowds seem bigger, and out right lying about numbers)

The turnout will be similar to the throngs who showed up for Free Republic's pro-war rally in 2003:

TC, Beck's entire career is built on being ridiculous. If he hires a speechwriter who can put together some sane, rational thoughts, Beck is going to lose his fans quicker than he can burst into spontaneous tears..

Note what he says here. He admits that nobody is going to give a crap about this now or even years from now. He's setting himself up for that by saying that his enemies will try to "erase" this day from history, but that in future generations our children and our children's children will remember him as a great man.

It's the sort of prediction he never has to be called on.

Absolutely disgusting that he would try to even brush against MLK speech anniversary. I am hoping that he fakes his own death on this day as I predicted. He's a showman, huckster, bullshart artist who throws manure to the wall in hopes that it will stick and make him more infamous and rich. I hope he crashes and burns hard, as all con artists deserve. What happened to 9-12? Wasn't that supposed to be unforgettable? Whoops.

Realistically, Beck's impact on American history will be that of being emblematic of a short-lived, politically-heated, but completely non-substantive bit of racially-tinged opposition to a president who made considerable improvements to American health care and the general economy in his first two years (don't believe me on the economy? take a look: http://cboblog.cbo.gov/?p=967).

In a history book, he'll be a footnote or an aside, perhaps a historical supporting document, but no more. I doubt his name will be remembered [I can't say the same about Rush...], and his long-term impact will be nonexistent. Americans are stronger than he is.

But go on, Glenn, enjoy your moment.

My gut is telling me he's up to something crazy. With all his talk of revivals, all his talk of the burning truth of fire, all his talk of God's finger.

Be there on Thursday for the something that will be "unforgettable?" Christ was crucified on a Thursday.

      This man is seriously ill.

His big surprise is that he's not going to be there. Another idea is that everyone from Fox is going to be there and it will be televised live all day on Fox News as "Breaking News". The only other big surprise that he can is to start telling the truth.
