I like Joe lately. Maybe it's phony... maybe he's been told to veer back toward the center... but I like it nonetheless.

I just hope he seizes this moment to push hard for alternative energy policies. This may be our last chance to get off the oil nipple before it drags us down.

            Absolutely!

Unfortunately, you know the Democrats: They never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

But if there were ever a moment to serve as a catalyst for change, THIS IS IT!

Sadly, I agree. We really should have had a Public Option in the HealthCare Reform Bill.

And, we really should get an Alternative Energy Manhattan Project out of this current obscenity in the Gulf, but I'm not holding my breath.

I know it will take a long time to ween ourselves off of petroleum, but it will take even longer if we never start.

Agreed - I dont know where that hold take advantage of a crisis line was coming from. This WH NEVER seems to be able to take advantage of a crisis AND they have been given SOOO many opportunities - wallstreet collapse, government bailout, SEC charges, arizona immigration bill, aetna hiking the crap out of their rates in cali, the sex/drugs parties at MMS, the porno stories coming out of the SEC and this current train wreck. Which have they taken advantage of again? We could got done most of what has been done so far, without any of this. No public option, the banks arent broken up, no energy reform and the regulatory agencies dont look much stronger to me if at all. I have about as much faith in Ken salazar AND tim geithner as i did in hank paulson and gale norton. Why does obama surround himself with such corporate toolbags? Im sorry but kenny had OVER a year and a half to make some changed in the MMS - he came into the job as that being his first priority. Its not that the changes didnt come fast enough, its that salazar is an incompetent dope who has never been a friend to environmentalists. He should be gone!!! And the media has completely removed this story - all sides of the spectrum. To me, this is the one thing the white house can actually be blamed for and expect heads to roll and salazar is getting a fricken pass. That is such garbage - if he isn't fired, i at least want to hear someone, anyone bringing it in to the actual discussion.

He's spent days bashing Obama's handling of the "optics" without saying much at all about the substance so forgive me for being a bit cool about his defense of the president's substantive response to the oil spill. You can't spend a week going "it just looks bad that this administration isn't out there talking to people blah blah blah" and make up for it with four minutes of "they got the substantive response to this mostly right."

I think Joe's stayed where's he's always been on the continuum. It's more like everyone else (Beck, Hannity, Malkin, Rush) keep moving to the right

I think that Joe Scarborough is concerned for his home town of Pensacola. He's watching the "whitest beaches in the world" get littered with tar balls. He knows who caused the tar balls and who is responsible for cleaning up the tar balls. He knows that the President and the government has been on the job since Day 1.

That is hilarious! Great laugh to start the day with!

Obama saying "so I know whose ass to kick" is about as funny as "don't point fingers" (that was Bush's fault too) or "we've been there since day one". What a joke!! He does not exhude any type of leadership, command or power, he is the laughing stock of the world right now with other countries government probably calling each other to make fun of him.

Great way to show your support for your country. What were you saying when foreign leaders were calling each other to make fun of Dubya? Why don't you ask Tony Blair how he feels about his friendship with Bush and what it cost him?

Actually, you are incorrect. Most of the world finds Obama to be quite competent. Bush, on the other hand, was seen as a dangerous buffoon. Keep up.
