Since when have we had a strong anarchist movement in the US? Not since the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and even then it was more of a fringe in the efforts to organize for better working conditions.

The anarchists believed that government, any government, was in itself an abusive device used by the rich and powerful to oppress and exploit the working poor.

Because many of the men and women working in sweatshops during this time were foreign born, there was native hostility toward their attempts to organize. The judge in the trial of Sacco and Vanzetti refered to the two Italian born men as "anarchist b@st@rds."

I wish beck had one reasonably intelligent caller today that would point out to him that obama was quoting from the question he was asked - if any one of us went on a rant, using manipulated video to justify saying some ridiculous things we wouldnt have said otherwise and later found out the clip was taken out of context, how stupid/embarrassed would we feel?? Luckily, glenn is too stupid to feel stupid.

If he would have watched the entire clip, he would have seen that Matt Lauer actually set the stage by saying "You have been criticized for not getting angry, not kicking butt"

President Obama's response was that he was getting together with experts, not as an academic exercise, but to find out who's ass he had to kick.

It's a sane and reasoned response... why the right creates this false outrage really is ridiculous.

Just a quibble here, why is it un-Presidential of Mr. Obama to say a** and okay for Glennie to be patriotic and family values but to be P***ed?

It is clear Beck have a problem with this President and it is clear Beck speaks for the rest of the racist nutjobs at Fox News. That would explain how Beck has not been fired yet.
It's a shame that Bill Ayers and most of the people Beck and Fox News attacks are weak, otherwise he would have long been put in his place. All the people Fox News attacks have a right to defend themselves, but they don't. They let these racist bastards get away with scandalizing their names, over and over again.
I know the President can't response to these childish liars, but Bill Ayers, Van Jones and others can. Until they retaliate Fox News will continue to use their name in vain.
