Did you ever see the faces of the wingnuts ? They get so excited.

Jesus was that guy who told the poor to pull themselves up by their sandal-straps, and to quit punishing the rich by raising their taxes and trying to push them through a camel's eye. He also told Noah to build a boat to get all of those damn animals out of the way, and advised people to always be proactive by throwing the first stone .

I hope I got all of the details right, I've been using Fox "news" as Bible study.

Jesus? He's the guy that preached Social Justice and tolerance. He's the Devout Jew who didn't need to convert to be "perfected".He's the guy who stood true to his beliefs even though he knew it was going to get him crucified.
Who the hell do YOU think he is, Ann?

Obviously, Jesus was a white, pro-capitalist, gun-toting WASP standing six-feet tall, with sandy brown hair, and enjoyed summering in the Hamptons with the disciples for a few weeks of sailing and polo matches.

Liberals don't know who Jesus is? That's freaking ridiculous. He is the janitor at my kids' high school. What has that got to do with anything?

Coulter has claimed to be a member of the Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York, but the pastor there has said that not only does he not have any memory of her attending, she's not on the membership roles.

One of my favorite "Christian" Ann Coulter quotes:
"Let's say I go out every night, I meet a guy and have sex with him. Good for me. I'm not married.

Come on -- EVERYONE knows that Jesus was a conservative, white, southern Pentecostal who disliked poor people, blacks, Hispanics, Asians and Jews.

Remember in the biblical book Saint Milton of Friedman, where Jesus says "blessed are the investment bankers BECAUSE I'M RICH BITCH!"?

Or in the Bible's crucifiction scene, where Jesus mocks the Roman soldiers because they were poor and got conscripted into the Army, but he was rich and well-connected and got a one weekend a month gig sorting mail for the Aramaic Guard until the war was over?

You don't remember the biblical story where Jesus finds out he's been betrayed by Judas and says "THIRTY pieces of silver? I'm surprised those pharisees didn't Jew you down to twenty. Hell, I'd have paid you FIFTY out of the suckers' donations to NOT turn me in."

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure those stories are in there -- at least in the white southern Jesus version.

As a Christian who supports the current administration, I'm somewhat horrified at Coulter's statement. How offensive! How extremely offensive that bat of a woman is! What a spiteful, hateful mind. I wish she would think before she spoke.

we have lost katrina as an argument? What if we never used the death of thousands of americans as an "argument." And an argument for what? For why bush was the worst president in history? It wasn't katrina so much as starting a fraud war that really destroyed bush in my eyes - outside of the whole torture, wiretapping, outing CIA agents, firing state attorneys, not catching osama, destroying america's image across the globe, a major recession, definitely at least part of this current crisis, tax breaks for the rich, ballooning the deficit, undermining our effort in afghanistan to prolong the war another decade - the iraq war really did him in.

And again, I must post this picture of Jesus, as, chances are good, he looked a lot more like this, than the sandy haired blue eyed savior made popular.

That is, of course, if he actually existed at all.

Interesting how we can have contemporary, first-hand accounts of complete nobodies during that period, but nothing on Jesus.

All accounts we have of him (so far) were written years after he supposedly died.

We have more evidence of global warming and evolution than we have on Jesus, but the conservatards would rather believe in Jesus over facts.

Their kool-aide must be spiked with hallucinogens.

      I'm a liberal.

      I know who Jesus is.

But I don't know who YOUR Jesus is.

If your Jesus is anything like you and Billy-boy, I want nothing to do with your religion.
