Why? Because they want to get to the bottom of the cause of the biggest environmental disaster in our history? Beck, you're going to start losing your base down in East Texas and along the Gulf Coast, if you're not careful. A hint: these folks hate BP more now than they do "the gub'mint." Keep defending BP and they're going to hate you, too.

I know Glenn. How dare they stick up for their country, and the people who LIVE in their country. I mean, it's just amazing that they don't immediately take the side of BP in this case.

What's with the suggestion that God doesn't want to hold businesses accountable but anything government does is worthy of damnation?

Is BP God's chosen petrochemical company...?

      BTW, why is Beck screaming?

One possibele explanation is that he's psychotic.

So finding in favor of the needy people and small businesses and against the multi-billion dollar corporation that was criminally neglegent and damaged the environment beyond anything that ever been seen is equivalent to a major sin? God has reserved special punishment for people for those who want to help individuals and small businesses? Then I guess all of those republican talking points for the past 12 years have to be retroactively removed from history. Maybe Doc Brown and Marty McFly can go back and stop them from making those statements.

Actually, I'm thinking that it's Beck, when standing before the eternal judge, will be "praying" for the "mercy of Gitmo." Deliberate, repeated and unrepentant lying is a big old sin . . . Beck, you really will have a whole lot of explaining to do.

One possible explanation is that Mrs. Beck has a thing for psychotics.

Sorry to tread on your territory, Irony, but I just couldn't resist.

Beck just added the only unforgivable sin in the New Testament to his list .. . he just put himself in the place of God. That's blasphemy. Beck's screwed.

      Fr. Coughlin redux.

      Total idiocy.

It's not a war, jerk, it's an industrial cockup and national disaster. And the hearings are not taking a competent responder away from his work, because Tony Hayword made very clear yesterday that he hasn't got a clue about what happened, or what's now going on. He remembered less than Fredo or Jimmy Hoffa did when they testified before Congress.

That is, of course if he wasn't lying under oath.

Behold Glenn Beck the Corporate shill. "Everyman" Beck is a cynical phony, as we've known all along.

Too bad his drooling zombies won't even notice the revelation.

Eleven men died in an explosion--one that might have been prevented had BP not embraced greed fueled, cost cutting measures.

But, in Glenn Beck's mind, it's the people who are asking questions that will face the fires of damnation.

Glenn, forget about Washington--is there an ounce of common sense in your studio?

Yeah I am sure that God is really upset over the fact that members of Congress are grilling BP's CEO. Don't they know that God is an Uber-Capitalist and that we should let Big Oil do whatever it wants or suffer in the fires of Hell?
And why is Becky screaming? Oh that's right, a rich company is being called to account and Becky just can't stand that. (Rich people like to stick together ya know.) Maybe Becky should ask everyone in his audience to pray for BP---that they are able to withstand this horrible, unjust inquisition they are going through.
(I'm wiping a tear away from my eye as I write this. Poor BP. I feel sooooooo bad for that company.) NOT!!!!
Oh and by the way, Becky is a moron. (Just had to add that.)

Glenn is all: let's focus on cleaning up the spill and ask questions and do investigations later.

That's convenient since the spill will take many years to clean up. When would the right time to start the investigation be? a year from now? 5 years from now - when the anger has faded and the facts get muddied in history?

But it's not just Beck's pro big business stance. It's more his anti-Obama stance:

I bet you if the president had said, 'we're going to concentrate on the spill and once it's all cleaned up then we'll start the criminal investigations." Beck would say "See! The government doesn't care about you. There's not going to be any investigation! No accountability, the president doesn't want justice! These BP executives should pay and the government is to incompetent to go after them!"

I remember hearing arguments like Glenn Becks when Clinton was impeached.

The situation then was much more trivial however. In the 90's a civil suit involving Clinton's supposed sexual deeds as governor was NOT put on hold while Clinton was in office.

Although military people are exempt from civil suits while on duty, the commander and chief was expected to drop everything and be questioned while in office.

Conservatives vehemently rejected the idea of letting Clinton serve his term first. He was expected to be held accountable while being responsible for administering government.

BP is being investigated for criminal activity. The damage is much greater than what was at issue in Clinton's civil suit. Tell me Glenn, why shouldn't BP know whats going on and answer questions about it? Our government is doing this in the press while at the same time working on the problem.

No, Glenn. We all will be judged, and you in specific will be thrown into the section of hell that's held for blasphemers, war-mongers, the greedy, and the liars.

      At least I now I understand Beck's gibberish . .

No accountability for any torts by a private company no matter what the wrongdoing, no matter how many people die, no matter the devastation . .

The only Judge is up in the sky . .

What type of a human being would put this screwball on a pedestal?
