Shep Smith gets "grossed out" about Napolitano "standing up for BP" and "blaming the government" for the oil spill

Still, I'm certain that he brings in a lot of money. Turns out people of any stripe like high-quality, fair journalism.
It's about journalistic integrity, and Shep Smith is the only one that has any at all (and, in fact, he's quite a good journalist by any networks' standards, let alone Fox).
Then he gave a compelling private sector argument against any liability cap at all for oil companies.
In order to find more oil they are drilling in deeper water in order to tap new or potential fields.
This picture is a little large but; you will be able to see the shallow water wells already in place.
Way to go, Shep. Stand up to this man's bull.
When Neapolitan says stuff like "the environmentalists wanted them to drill in 5,000 feet of water, Gov. Jindal wanted to drill in 500 feet of water." This is probably absolute bunk. Another flat-out lie.
Shep didn't even call him on it.
Shep is badass. That guy doesn't take sh*t from anyone. He just looks at someone straight in the face and tells them how it is. They can either hate it or love it, and he'll say it anyway. He almost has the demeanor of someone who's literally saying "come get some".

Whether it's baby steps or a huge leap forward, anything positive from Fox is a major step forward for the rest of the country.
The only thing that would have happened is that the insurance company would have defaulted or found a loophole not to pay.
Also, way to exemplify the values that Republicans profess to stand for, like encouraging people to take responsibility for their actions and not blame others for the mistakes they caused.
Issue number 2: Did the government screw up by kissing up to the oil companies and ignoring warning signs for so long? Yes
Take care of issue number 1, and when done, go on to issue number 2 not the other way around.
Thanks, Shep, There is some sanity at Fox.
It's funny when these weasels talk about the government like it's a bad thing. You know when they say government, what they really mean is that marxist, communist muslim in the White House. They act like Obama is the one who lifted restrictions on how and where the oil companies can drill. Bush is the one who allowed this to happen and maybe Obama should have looked at the problems BP was having but not fixing. But what the right wing wooses need to realize is Obama has a full plate trying to fix the mess he was elected into. And in my opinion he is doing a pretty good job. Thank God Obama has class and doesn't stoop to the level of these evil, hateful, disgusting, worthless, ridiculous right wing nutjobs.
Have they plugged the darn hole yet? No.
Why are talking about anything else yet? This could quite frankly destroy a good deal of our livelihood.
Until we stop it, nothing else matters. Prosecutions and a check aren't going to stop the oil from gushing.
At Fox, as with all networks, it's about the number of viewers, and Murdoch will hire anyone that can bring in viewers. The difference with Fox, though, is that Murdoch and Ailes are willing to to toss journalistic standards aside to max their viewership. Each does it for his own reason. Murdoch is an Australian that was raised on (and built his empire on) the trashy publications that are so popular in the British dominion. Ailes is simply a Nixon era partisan who was raised on the politics of Dirty Tricks. And, he absolutely hates liberals - as did Nixon.
If he values his journalistic integrity, his ONLY face saving choice is to simply walk away from the lying, GOPbP propagandist network that he lends "credibility" to. Shep is guilty of participating in the Fox News Charade until he doesnt.
