      And why would that be, hmmm...? Maybe because she's actually pretty mainstream...as opposed to what fearmongering right wingers have been telling everyone?

        She is to the right of the Justice she will replace, as has been every Justice appointed since the '60's. I am, along with Nice Guy Eddie, very disappointed in this choice. The right is either waxing hysterical because that's what they do, or because they've taken Obama's measure, know that he has no stomach for confrontation, and are sending a message about his next choice. "If you think this is bad, just try to appoint someone center or center-left."

      obama is moving the court further towards the right. Why would they fillibuster that? Obama is once again proving just how committed he is to the progressive movement - hes not.

      But we're sure to see plenty of GOP politics and posturing inside the hearing, and an abundance of paranoid, pant-wetting play-by-play and post-game by Fox outside the hearing.
